MIAMI -- You could have called him the Minus Six Million Dollar Man.
When point guard Mike Bibby sought his release from woeful Washington last February in order to join the Miami Heat, he was willing to give up all his 2011-12 salary, the final year of his contract. That was a cool 6.2 million.
As it turns out, Bibby lost 3.9 million for this season when salaries are prorated...

Knicks sign Bibby to one-year deal
Despite his wretched stint in Miami last season, the Knicks will roll the dice on point guard Mike Bibby.
Bibby, 33, will be in camp Sunday to sign after agreeing to a one-year deal at the veteran's minimum of $1.4 million, according to NBA sources.
The Knicks do not view Bibby as a starter over Toney Douglas and may still add another point guard.

Report: PG Bibby signs with Knicks
The New York Knicks have signed veteran point guard Mike Bibby to a one-year-deal, according to multiple reports.
Bibby, who will be paid the league minimum, split time last season with the Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat, averaging 8.6 points and 3.3 assists.
The Knicks used their amnesty clause earlier Saturday on point guard Chauncey Billups.
