Jazz cut veteran guard Dahntay Jones

The Utah Jazz on Wednesday waived veteran guard Dahntay Jones and forward Jack Cooley, trimming their roster down to the league maximum of 15 players. With a number of injuries in the Utah backcourt in training camp, Jones saw significant time for the Jazz. He played in all six of the team’s preseason games to date, averaging 3 points and a rebound in about 12 minutes a night.
