The Utah Jazz have signed free-agent guard John Lucas III, who played last season with the Toronto Raptors.
The 5-foot-11 guard averaged 5.3 points and 1.7 assists in 13.1 minutes in a career-high 63 games last season, his fifth in the NBA.
Lucas, who has also played in Houston and Chicago, has career averages of 5.1 points, 1.5 assists and 1.0 rebounds in 11.8 minutes.
According to Marc Stein of ESPN, guard John Lucas has decided to head to the Utah Jazz. Lucas, who averaged 5.3 points and 1.7 assists a game last season with the Toronto Raptors will give the Jazz a solid option behind rookie Trey Burke.

Bulls fans have been flooding Lucas with hilarious comeback photos ever since JL3 began receiving backlash from Heat fans after posting a Twitter status simply saying “ish just got real in Miami” after the Pacers went up 2-1 in the series.
SCREEN WITH ENVY
This pick came late in the 3rd quarter of Thursday night’s Heat/Bulls showdown in Miami. The heat won this game 83-72 on their home-court.
LeBron’s screen looks perfectly acceptable to me, but Bulls backup point guard, John Lucas looked less that thrilled. He approached LeBron after the play was whistled dead and had to be restrained by Chicago forward, CarlosBoozer.
