Bits and Pieces

Whore of the year award goes to Mark Martin. Since leaving Roush Racing this past season, Mark Martin as pimped himself ALL over the map. Wood (he he won't go there) Brothers truck, Ginn Racing in Cup, and now Hendrick Motorsports. I guess Rick needed another tax write off this year. For someone who wanted more time with his family, Mark sure is making more time for them now isn't he???

Meet the official newest member of the Roushkateers, John Henry. Roush/Fenway racing is the new name. THUMP!!! Did ya hear that??? That was Carl Edwards doing a backflip in happiness. I guess Jack is getting desperate to keep the War On Toyota going, so desperate he sold half his company.

Now my favorite, Mikey, Mikey, Mikey. What happened to the great spokesperson that would honestly sell you quality NAPA parts??? Did he go camping with his crew chief and misplace the Sterno??? Weird and strange coincidence that out of ALL three (still the best number eva) of Walnut Racing's cars, Mikey's was the one that got BUSTED. Hmmm, owner/driver's car is rigged. Imagine that, a new team that has to make it on time trying almost anything to get in. You would figure a new manufacturer that picks your team for their flagship operation would make you think twice before you would risk the integrity of your own team AND their nameplate by doing something pretty fuckin stupid. Toyota says that is two strikes Mikey. Sounds like they have been talking to John Henry.

Madd props to Stewie, again and the DuPont Dummy on their wins in the qualifiers. During his post-race interview in the media center, inspectors were looking at the No. 24 Chevrolet in the garage area. The right-rear quarterpanel was, according to NASCAR V.P. Robin Pemberton, too low by "close to an inch, give or take." Just before he left the media center, Gordon was told about what was going on,"I hate to hear that," he said. "It sucks." Now he can start 42nd on Sunday. Somehow after all this weeks bullshizzit, ALL three (there it is again) of MWR cars are in the show. As well as front row Joe Nemechek and Mike Wallace made the transfer spots.

It looks like it will be a very interesting season. We will call it "As the Lug Nuts Turn", the new Sunday soap opera or maybe even Monday. Are you thinkin what I am??? Check back Monday and see.
