Tom Brady owners don’t need to be reminded how brutal 2013 has been so far: 66 points on 111/196 for 1,211 yards, 7 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. His New England Patriots are 4-1, but Brady’s subpar personal performance culminated in the premature end of his near record-breaking streak of 52 consecutive games with a touchdown pass thrown—Drew Brees retains that crown at 54 games.Brady’s game isn’t declining, but the talent around him is.Danny Amendola has already missed more games than he’s participated in—three out, two in—which has been the knock on him his entire career. Rob Gronkowski may finally be ready to make his ’13 debut in week 6, but it feels like he’s just cobbled together and is one weird hit or fall away from returning to the IR.Besides Julian Edelman, Brady’s young bunch of butterfingers are off to a dubious start. They’ve dropped one out of every nine pass attempts, tying Brady with Matthew Stafford for third worst in the league. Aaron Dobson (23.5%), Kenbrell Thompkins (18.2%) and Amendola (17.7%) rank in the bottom 20 among WRs in drop rate. Brandon Bolden (14.3%) and the injured Shane Vereen (12.5%) dipped into the bottom 20 among RBs.Preseason sleeper sweetheart TE Zach Sudfeld was so awful—two targets, zero catches and a muffed onside kick recovery—he was cut after the Atlanta game and now plays for the New York Jets.If it weren’t for some good fortune, good defense and good clock-killing rushing, New England could easily be 2-3.I’m not claiming Brady should be benched in standard sized leagues because he’s falling off, but the talent around him obviously is. You can keep staring, but Wes Welker and Aaron Hernandez won’t be walking through that door.Whether you sell low, bench or outright cut Brady from your squad, you’d be better off with one of the following leading your fantasy team the rest of the season…
