Why Dolphins defense can become an elite unit

Over the past three years, the Miami Dolphins defense has always been good, but never great. However, this could change in 2013 with the improvements made to the roster and a new defensive philosophy implemented by the coaching staff. When discussing the Dolphins defense, it starts with All-Pro defensive end Cameron Wake. His 15 sacks in 2012 ranked 4th in the league and accounted...

Dolphins sloppy in loss to Cowboys, but there were a few positives

The Miami Dolphins have been practicing for 2 weeks, but by the looks of things on Sunday night, they’re going to need a lot more practice.  The Dolphins were sloppy from the beginning of the game when they fumbled on their first offensive play from scrimmage.  The handoff from Ryan Tannehill to Lamar Miller appeared to be good, but Miller just missed it.  Tannehill was ‘credited’...

Dolphins reportedly still uncertain about Lamar Miller

Dolphins running back Lamar Miller ended up turning the football over on the first play of tonight’s Hall of Fame game against the Cowboys. ESPN’s Adam Schefter then tweeted that some people within the Dolphins organization aren’t sure about Miller yet. Lamar Miller might go on to be a star running back. But sense about him with some in organization is still uncertainty. ...

Dolphins' Jonathan Martin not paying heed to naysayers

DAVIE, Fla. -- Hall of Famer and NFL analyst James Lofton isn't sure Jonathan Martin can do the job at left tackle for the Miami Dolphins. And Lofton, like Martin, is a Stanford graduate. Hall of Famer Larry Little calls Martin one of the biggest question marks on the team. And Little is a former offensive lineman for the Dolphins and a big fan of the team. Even Miami coach...

Jared Odrick (groin), Randy Starks (knee), and Mike Wallace (groin) are starters unlikely to play in HOF game. #Dolphins — Armando Salguero (@ArmandoSalguero...

Dolphins' pass protection a big question heading into the season

The Miami Dolphins have been a trendy pick this offseason, but no one sees them as a complete roster. Second-year lineman Jonathan Martin was the weak link in practice, reportedly getting beat repeatedly and owned by pass rushers. "It has...
