2011 Washington Redskins Mock Draft: To QB or Not to QB?

Ask any Washington Redskins fan what the main need is in this year’s NFL draft and they’ll say a quarterback to replace Donovan McNabb. Rex Grossman is slated at the No. 1 spot for now, but we all know that is just on paper. Ask those same Redskins fans if they remember Heath Shuler, Patrick Ramsey and Jason Campbell, all chosen the No. 1 pick. Everyone knows how they worked out! Ask anyone around Redskins Park and they’ll say the Redskins main need in this year’s draft is, well, a lot of things. Just don’t bring in Cam Newton! The guy already has a “hit me sign” painted on his back with his arrogant attitude at the combine. He is your prototypical QB but I think he would crumble after a few big hits. He would be rattled soo hard that he would second guess looking bad in the league and potentially jeopardizing his endorsement deals.
