Pickups of the WeekRashad Jennings, RB, Jaguars (13.6 percent owned in standard ESPN 10-man leagues)Week 7 stats: 21 carries, 44 yards, 1 TD, 7 rec, 58 yardsIf you are reading this, you are probably well aware that Maurice Jones-Drew will be sidelined with a foot injury for an extended period of time. What you probably aren't aware of is Jennings upcoming schedule, which goes Green Bay (18th in rushing yards allowed per game), Detroit (17th), Indianapolis (26th), Houston (5th), Tennessee (25th) and Buffalo (32nd).La-Rod Stephens-Howling, RB, Cardinals (10.5 percent)Week 7 stats: 20 carries, 104 yards, 1 TD, 4 rec, 45 yardsBilal Powell fumbled the job away allowing the 5'7, 185 previous change-of-pace back Stephens-Howling to take the job from him. Even more impressive was SH did it against a tough Minnesota's run defense. Temper your expectations against the 49ers stingy run defense.Detroit D/ST (51.7 percent)For the record, now is the time to start planning ahead and identifying horrid offenses to play against while trying to flip a high performing D/ST for skill players. This is especially true later on in the season when more injuries have occurred. The Lions D/ST and the Raiders (6.1 percent) should capitalize on easy match-ups this week.Right now the offenses to look into playing defenses against are:Team              Wk 8     9     10Arizona:           @SF, @GB, byeSeattle:           @Det, Min, NYJJacksonville:     @GB, DET, IndKansas City:      OAK, SD,   PitBrandon Weeden, QB, Browns (8.8 percent)Week 6 stats:  25-41,  264 yards,   2 TDs,  Week 7 stats: 17-29, 231 yards, 2 TDs, 1 IntDon't laugh, Weeden has 3 straight weeks of at least two TD passes and the Chargers D/ST has four straight weeks of at least two TD passes allowed.Josh Gordon, WR, Browns (36.8 percent)Week 5 stats:   2 rec, 82 yards,  2 TDs, 8 TargetsWeek 6 stats:   3 rec, 99 yards, 1 TD,   4 TargetsWeek 7 stats: 2 rec, 59 yards, 1 TD, 10 TargetsWeeden will continue to look Gordon's way and more so than before with Trent Richardson out of the action.Josh Freeman, QB, Buccaneers (69.3 percent)Week 6 stats:   15-26, 328 yards,   3 TDs, 1 intWeek 7 stats: 24-42, 420 yards, 3 TDsThat's two weeks in a row with three touchdowns for Freeman and his upcoming schedule is easy too. Oakland, San Diego and Carolina are all favorable opponents whom Freeman should keep up his multi-touchdown pace. PPRBrandon Myers, TE, Raiders (3.2 percent)Week 6 stats:   5 rec, 62 yards,    7 TargetsWeek 7 stats: 7 rec, 44 yards, 10 TargetsHe is the most targeted Raider over the last couple of games. This has been the case all season really, but the Raiders are allergic to the goal-line so he will be a much worse option in standard leagues.Kendall Wright, WR, Titans (18.6 percent)Week 4 stats:   4 rec, 46 yards, 1 TD, 8 TargetsWeek 5 stats:   9 rec, 66 yards,         11 TargetsWeek 6 stats:   6 rec, 71 yards,          8 TargetsWeek 7 stats:  3 rec, 19 yards,          3 TargetsGreat PPR play, horrible and inconsistent standard league play. He will bounce back from his 3-target week.Deep leaguesJosh Cooper, WR, Browns (0.0 percent)Week 6 stats:   2 rec, 39 yards,  4 TargetsWeek 7 stats: 4 rec, 53 yards, 8 TargetsCooper is probably the most unknown wide receiver to receive significant targets, but Brandon Weeden knows who he is. Cooper was targeted more than Greg Little.Cecil Shorts, WR, Jaguars (1.9 percent)Week 7 stats: 4 rec, 79 yards, 1 TD, 10 TargetsThe 2nd-year shorts is a great deep threat. Unfortunately, he has a lot of young competition for targets. How Are They Still Available?Randall Cobb, WR, Packers (55.2 percent)Week 5 stats:   4 rec,  82 yards, 1 TD,   4 TargetsWeek 6 stats:   7 rec, 102 yards,         10 TargetsWeek 7 stats: 8 rec, 89 yards, 2 TDs, 8 TargetsHis availability is about to drop to zero as should the No. 12 overall fantasy wide receiver. If he is still available, pick him up and then trade him. His value will drop when Greg Jennings returns.Alex Green, RB, Packers (60.0 percent)Week 5 stats:    9 carries,   55 yards,   1 rec, 8 yardsWeek 6 stats:   22 carries,  65 yards,   1 rec, 8 yardsWeek 7 stats: 20 carries, 35 yards, 4 rec, 29 yards20+ carries in multiple weeks. The value is limited in Green-Bay's passing attack, but there's still value.Brandon Gibson, WR, Rams (29.5 percent)Week 6 stats:   7 rec,  91 yards, 9 TargetsWeek 7 stats: 5 rec, 60 yards, 7 TargetsGibson still only is a borderline No. 3 ppr receiver. The Rams simply don't get close enough to the goal-line for Gibson to be anything more.Feel Free to Drop These PlayersBrandon Lloyd (standard leagues), Nate Kaeding, Tony Romo, Pierre Garcon, Fred Davis(This is of course assuming guys like Jennings and Cobb are still available. While Romo and Lloyd aren't your 1st options, they very well could be worth the drop in smaller leagues.)
