General manager Jerry Reese and head coach Tom Coughlin are very good at scouting and understanding what a real football team needs. The Giants have had some success with undrafted free agents over the past couple of seasons, including Victor Cruz and Henry Hynoski. We understand a couple of things about the Giants off season strategies; they don't like making big splashes for skill players (except quarterbacks), and will pick the best player available during drafts no matter what their needs are and regardless of what it means for their roster. This is evident in this year's draft when they picked a defensive tackle with their second round pick and used their fourth and sixth round picks to acquire another backup quarterback. These were great players they acquired but didn't fulfill their needs at linebacker and defensive back. Here are the undrafted free agents they picked so far for the 2013 season:Tight End, Chase Clement, LSUWide Receiver, Marcus Davis, Virginia Tech...

David Diehl Sees New York Giants’ Selection of Justin Pugh as a Challenge

It may be unofficial and merely speculative as of right now, but the New York Giants depth chart currently lists Justin Pugh — not David Diehl — as the team’s starting right tackle.
