Today, less than 48 hours before the 49ers visit the Saints, head coach Jim Harbaugh said mums the word on whether Colin Kaepernick or Alex Smith would start in New Orleans.
At this point, based on a national report, the words of safety Donte Whitner and health status of Smith, it appears 99 percent certain it will be Kapernick lining up behind center.
Harbaugh said he sees no competitive advantage in declaring who his starting quarterback will be.
Harbaugh did say he expects Smith to be medically cleared Saturday, meaning he would be available for Sundays game. Smith took his contact test today and is listed as questionable on the injury report.
Alex went through his final test today and will be cleared tomorrow, if theres no symptoms, Harbaugh said. And its been good. He hasnt had any symptoms since Tuesday. So thats a real positive. Source: San Francisco Chronicle Attached Thumbnails

I think Jim Harbaugh has seen Kaepernick at practice the last two years and has been itching to get him into a game. Last week Harbaugh's expectations were met or exceeded and he's ready to move on. I don't think Smith gets back on the field this season.
After going a red hot 13-1 in week 11, I went 2-1 on Thanksgiving day. For the season that makes it 106-57....
