New San Francisco defensive coordinator Vic Fangio mentioned backup LB Ahmad Brooks specifically Friday when asked if he sees any potential quality pass rushers on the roster. "He's a guy that has some ability but we have to figure out why he hasn't done it on a consistent basis and can he or can't he," he said. Brooks finished with five sacks and matched a career high with 31 tackles last season. The fourth-year linebacker also recorded his first career interception against Arizona in Week 17 that he nearly returned for a touchdown.
