NFL Injury Report:
The San Francisco 49ers have three players that are listed
as questionable as they head into tonight’s contest against the Seattle
Seahawks, reports Brian McIntyre of Yahoo! Sports; offensive lineman Joe Staley (concussion), wide receiver Mario
Manningham (shoulder) and running back Brandon Jacobs (knee).
The 49ers could be without
left tackle Joe Staley, who has to pass the league's concussion protocol before
being cleared to play. Staley is officially listed as "questionable",
as are wide receiver Mario Manningham (shoulder)
and running back Brandon Jacobs (knee).
Staley will have to pass the league’s concussion tests after
sustaining a head injury Sunday during the team’s loss to the New York Giants.
Manningham, who’s hampered by a shoulder injury, has caught 24 passes for 258
yards and one touchdown over his first six games of the season.

49ers:13Seahawks: 6 Thursday Night’s game was a critical NFC West showdown between the mighty 49ers reeling from the crushing defeat landed on them by the Giants on Sunday, and the surging Seahawks coming off a feel-good victory after beating the Patriots. Patrick Willis might not have known who Matt Millen was a few days ago, but the San Francisco 49ers linebacker certainly knows about the former Pro Bowler now. Willis apologized Tuesday, a day after ripping Millen, now a football analyst, for comments Millen made that were critical of the 49ers' defense in the team's 26-3 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. "Yesterday...

Following the team's win over the Seahawks Thursday night, 49ers guard Alex Boone said this about Seattle's defense: "We just kind of felt them start to give up a little bit."
Chicago (AP) - South Florida and San Francisco -- actually Santa Clara, where the 49ers are building a new stadium -- will compete to host the 50th Super Bowl in 2016. The loser of that bid will compete with Houston for the 2017 game.
Some owners have said SunLife Stadium in Miami needs major upgrades before it should be considered for another Super Bowl; Miami has hosted the most...
Seattle (4-2) at San Francisco (4-2), San Francisco favored by 7 Big early season game for the 49ers as they battle the upstart Seahawks for first place in the division. The Niners were humbled at home by the Giants last week and hopefully will be fired up to get that bad taste out of their [...]
The 49ers are 4-2 and widely hailed as one of the best teams in the NFC. Outside the locker room, it might feel more like 2-4, particularly after the Giants blasted them 26-3 on Sunday in a rematch of the NFC Championship game. They have been nothing if not enigmatic with blow out wins over the Bills and Jets and then manhandling at the hands of the Vikings and Giants. The 49ers...
