Backup running back Brandon Jacobs and Ted Ginn Jr. will both have to wait at least another week to make their season debuts for the San Francisco 49ers.
Both are on the inactive list against the Minnesota Vikings after being listed as questionable Friday. Ginn has been bothered by a right ankle injury and had said earlier in the week that he hoped to play Sunday. Jacobs has yet to play this season because of an injured left knee.
The Vikings scratched starting linebacker Erin Henderson because of a concussion sustained last week against Indianapolis. Marvin Mitchell started in Henderson's place.
Rookie receiver Jarius Wright has also been scratched. He missed the first two games with an ankle injury but was listed as probable Friday.

Following the game, replacement referee Ken Roan admitted he mistakenly gave the 49ers and Jim Harbaugh two extra challenges after the team called its last time out.
MINNEAPOLIS The number of Randy Moss jerseys in the stands at Mall of America Field prior to Sunday's game between the Vikings and 49ers was an indication that Minnesota fans were excited for the return of one of the Vikings' all-time great wide receivers. Sure, there were some red No. 84 jerseys in the crowd, but there were plenty of the purple variety as well -- and even...
MINNEAPOLIS The San Francisco 49ers were supposed to be one of the best teams in the NFL. After beating Green Bay at Lambeau Field and taking care of Detroit in Week 2, 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh's team came to Minnesota as heavy favorites against the 1-1 Vikings.
Minnesota wasn't supposed to hang around for long, let alone win Sunday's game at Mall of America Field....
San Francisco 49ers @ Minnesota Vikings San Francisco 49ers: Wow, never thought I’d say this before the season started, but it sure looks like the 49ers are the class of the NFC. They didn’t ever look very threatened by either the Packers or the Lions in Weeks 1 and 2, two teams that made the playoffs last year and were considered favorites to at least contend for playoff...
Which way does the thumb turn for the 49ers after their 24-13 loss at Minnesota, including an inauspicious return for Randy Moss, a fourth quarter to forget, NaVorro Bowman’s career high, turnover-free streaks ending, diminishing a dominant start, Vernon Davis in the red zone, disappearing explosiveness, Kyle Williams’ long returns, starting defenders limping off and much more? Check inside.
According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, the 49ers have listed both wide receiver Tedd Ginn Jr. and running back Brandon Jacobs as questionable for this week’s game against the Vikings.
49ers punter Andy Lee is probable.
