The latest in the KaeperSmith drama: As he has since he sustained a concussion on Nov. 11, 49ers quarterback Alex Smith was in a non-contact black jersey in this morning’s practice. The designation suggests Smith has not been medically cleared to play in Sunday’s game at New Orleans, but ESPN is reporting he has received full medical clearance, citing a team source. Colin Kaepernick remains in line to make his second straight start, according to the report, meaning the 49ers would have the NFL’s best second-string quarterback available if, indeed, Smith has passed concussion testing. Jim Harbaugh will not address the media today, but offensive coordinator Greg Roman will speak at 1 p.m. Whether he provides any clarity on the quarterback situation, of course, is debatable.
