A day after Adam Caplan reported the 49ers would be signing former Eagles WR/returner Chad Hall, Matt Maiocco and Matt Barrows are both reporting the move would be to add Hall to the practice squad. The 49ers practice squad is currently filled up with eight players, so one of them would either be released from the squad, or signed to the 53-man roster to fill Kyle Williams roster spot. Williams announced to the world that he tore his ACL, which would mean he will eventually move on to the injured reserve list, opening up a roster spot. Hall is a guy who has speed and has done some work as a return man. Source: SBNation Attached Thumbnails

Bryce Brown set Eagles rookie rushing record on Monday Night

Bryce Brown really hadn’t been heard from since a stellar high school career that ended in 2008. Until Monday night, when he filled in for injured Philadelphia running back LeSean McCoy. Making his first start at any level since his senior season at Wichita East (Kansas) High, Brown set an Eagles rookie record with 178 yards rushing, including touchdown runs of 65 and five yards...

Eagles’ day-after press conference provides more same, injury news

We found out Nick Foles will be the quarterback at least one more week. DeSean Jackson could miss the rest of the season. Jason Avant is better physically than Jackson, but still might be ready this week. Danny Watkins was not even mentioned and the over and under on a drinking game called “I’ve got to do a beter job” hit the under. Andy Reid said the same thing, but used different...

Bryce Brown Fantasy Forecast

Up until this past Monday night, the only real hatred towards Andy Reid was coming from Philadelphia Eagles fans. But after Bryce Brown racked up 178 yards and two touchdowns against the Carolina Panthers, Reid can add fantasy owners to the list. The Eagles are notorious for wanting to throw the ball. So much so, that LeSean McCoy could be arguably be perceived as a better wide receiver...

Cowboys don't put claim in for Jason Babin

IRVING The Philadelphia Eagles cut defensive end Jason Babin on Tuesday, leaving the two-time Pro Bowler available to be claimed by another franchise. The Jacksonville Jaguars won the claim on Wednesday, according to multiple reports. Panthers 30 Eagles 22: Eagles Show Life and Death On Monday Night

There was a lot to get excited about if your an Eagles fan desperate for something to cheer about. The Eagles defense over pursued, the coverages left receivers wide open and the Eagles lost three fumbles on their way to a 30-22 loss at home. The Eagles now have 8 losses, the number that team owner Jeffrey Lurie said would not be good enough for Andy Reid to keep his job. Bryce Brown...

Could free agent Jason Babin land in Denver?

(Image courtesy of Donn Jones Photography) On Tuesday, the Philadelphia Eagles made a shocking move and announced the released defensive end Jason Babin. A 32 year-old veteran, Babin (6-3, 267 lbs.) had a breakout season in 2010 as a member of the Titans defensive line and recorded 12.5 sacks. The next offseason, Babin signed with Philly and became a household name when he recorded...

Eagles begin purge of expensive veteran players...

Don't trust anyone over 30... At least that adage now applies to Philadelphia Eagles players making more than the veterans' minimum wage. The purge of expensive older players has begun. Defensive end Jason Babin (age 32) was the first to go.           Babin's, release comes a day after a fairly impressive debut by rookie second...

The Eagles Should Have Been Benching Players Long Before Now

Categories: BREAKING NEWS Eagles General NewsThe release of starting defensive end Jason Babin is a rather erratic move this late in the season.  But the move exposes the fact that the Birds should have made some changes at the defensive end positions and/or elsewhere on the defensive side of the ball much earlier in the season. There’s talk that the Eagles [...](Read more...)

Jason Babin Claimed Off Waivers by Jaguars

That was fast, but not what I expected. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that recently-released Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro defensive end Jason Babin has been claimed off of waivers, but just not by a playoff-contender. According to Schefter, it’s the Jacksonville Jaguars. Not sure if the claim says more about contending team’s salary-restraints, or how they feel about Babin...

Breaking News: Jason Babin to Jaguars

Panthers 30, Eagles 22

PHILADELPHIA -- The Carolina Panthers struck for two long touchdown passes in the first half, and their defense came up with a crucial fourth-down stop in the fourth quarter of a 30-22 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night at Lincoln Financial Field.
