The San Francisco 49ers have announced that they’ve signed free agent quarterback Seneca Wallace and have released wide receiver Ricardo Lockette. Wallace (5-11, 205) was originally selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round (110th overall selection) of the 2003 NFL Draft. In nine seasons, he has played in 62 games (21 starts), completing 452 of 764 pass attempts for 4,808 yards and 31 touchdowns. Over the course of his NFL career, he has also rushed 68 times for 293 yards and one touchdown, while adding six receptions for 106 yards. Wallace spent seven seasons with the Seahawks before being traded to the Cleveland Browns during the 2010 offseason. He went on to spend two seasons with the Browns before being released just prior to the 2012 regular season. Wallace was signed by the New Orleans Saints on April 15, 2013, and later released on August 19. You have to wonder if Colt McCoy will be let go or traded soon.  Doubt the 49ers will be able to get anything for him in a trade. Need NFL Tickets? Loading... 49ers add Seneca Wallace to compete in crowded QB backup contest

With a quarterback like Colin Kaepernick there are two things the San Francisco 49ers know for certain.  One they have a great chance of winning every time he is on the field, and two they better have a good back-up in the wings just in case. A good back-up is something the 49ers

Randy Moss was a one-of-a-kind player, and he’s hoping to be a one-of-a-kind football analyst on TV.
