The Pittsburgh Steelers opened training camp today; that means conditioning tests. It also means that we get a first look at the players that aren’t yet ready to practice. Those players are placed on the physically unable to perform list and the Steelers have four players on that list to start camp. Luckily for the Steelers three of those four players aren’t necessarily surprises to making the list. David Johnson, Sean Spence and Heath Miller are all coming off of major knee injuries suffered last season. Johnson tore his ACL during the pre-season, but isn’t yet ready to get back on the field according to these reports. Spence also tore up his knee during the pre-season and wasn’t expected to be ready at all during the 2013 season, however according to Spence he is hoping to be back at some point this season.
