General manager Rick Spielman and head coach Leslie Frazier will most certainly have their hands full this offseason. Even before the 2012 NFL season was completely over, the issues started to unveil.Disgruntled wide receiver Percy Harvin was rumored to have requested a trade last summer after not being happy with how he was being used the during the 2011 season. A season I'm sure everyone will want to forget.Things went well during the first seven games of the 2012 season as the Vikings surprised everyone by going 5-2, but not long after the team started to spiral down and most noticeably in the play of quarterback Christian Ponder.During a game against Seattle, Percy was seen ranting and yelling at coach Frazier on the sideline, presumably about the play of Ponder, who Harvin thought should be replaced at that time. Later in the game, Harvin severely sprained his ankle and was placed on season-ending IR.Now it is rumored that, once again, Percy is not happy and has claimed he will not report to camp until he has a new contract. Percy will not come cheap, but probably won't get the $10 million a year he is asking for. So now, how to address the already glaring need at wide receiver becomes even more baffling. It is just as possible that the Vikings re-sign Harvin to a new deal as it is they are going to trade him before the Draft in late April. I am going to assume they are going to re-sign him in figuring out the top possible free agents this year.Besides the obvious needs for a wide receiver, Spielman and Co. have plenty to figure out in other positions as well. The first will be to lock up their own FA such as All-Pro fullback Jerome Felton, who Adrian Peterson gave a lot of credit to in his unbelievable 2012 season.Frasier has already said he really liked what he saw out of safety Jamarca Sanford and I would be surprised if he was not re-signed. Phil Loadholt is a big right tackle that also made big strides in his run blocking. Though at times he struggled in pass protection, he well made up for it when opening holes for Peterson to dance through.Just like any team, I have no idea what the Vikings have planned for the Draft in April, we will know a lot more after the first three waves of free agency are through and the teams rosters will be more set. I have thought of five free agents the Vikings could take an interest in.
