Unfortunately, this image of Redskins' quarterback Robert Griffin III trying and failing to recover a fumble, while his leg bent the entire wrong way, is THE lasting image from a wonderful 2012 campaign for the 'Skins. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. Let's stay positive: winning seven in a row to climb from 3-6 to division champs (10-6), let's face it, it was a season for the ages. The emergence of two top rookies, RGIII (AP Rookie of the Year) and running back Alfred Morris (1613 rushing yards), and other blossoming players both on offense and defense, has the rest of the NFC East concerned for years to come. Head coach Mike Shanahan has the team heading in the right direction, however there are still many holes to fill entering the 2013 season. With the offseason in full focus and free agency beckoning in less than a month, let's target who the 'Skins should sign heading into 2013. Biggest obstacle to any of these signings is the cap-hell the Redskins are currently in. If you remember correctly, the Redskins and Cowboys were both penalized last offseason for $36 million apiece for "not abiding by the rules in an uncapped year". The 'Skins split the penalty over two seasons, thus handicapping themselves in 2012-2013.
