Found July 02, 2013 on Turn On The Jets:
Here at Turn On The Jets, we decided to take a page out of Robert Mays book over at Grantland (a polite way of saying rip his article idea off) by counting down the 115 days until the New York Jets kick off, with a daily reason to get excited about their return. Mays has the whole NFL to work with, we only have the Goddamn Jets…now there is a challenge, step your game up Mays! We continue today with a look at 1st round pick Sheldon Richardson (Note, you can track this entire series right here) Geno Smith will get the most press because he is a quarterback. Dee Milliner was a top ten pick and steps into a position vacated by arguably the greatest player in franchise history. Yet, when it is all said and done, don’t be surprised if April 2013 is remembered as the “The Sheldon Richardson Draft.” The Richardson selection initially caught many off-guard. Another first-round defensive lineman?! Yet, he was one of the most uniquely talented players in this year’s draft class and a player who fits with the pass rush the Jets are building from the inside out. Our resident lineman at Turn On The Jets, were floored by Richardson’s tape when they dug a little deeper into it. His athletic ability offers tantalizing potential in Rex Ryan’s defense, particularly next to Muhammad Wilkerson and Quinton Coples. Richardson should see plenty of favorable match-ups on the interior where he can flash his pass rushing ability and wreak havoc up the middle. We’ve dedicated an encyclopedia worth of words discussing his fit in the Jets defense, make sure to freshen up and then gear up for Richardson potentially being the biggest impact player out of this year’s rookie class. RICHARDSON READING Mike Nolan On Scheme Fit Draft Night Thoughts From Joe Caporoso  Connor Rogers On Building D From Inside Out Chris Gross Film Breakdown - NEW YORK DAILY NEWS STORY PITCH OF THE DAY - 1,300 words on the poor landscaping job done recently at Rex Ryan’s house. A gardener close to the situation notes “I’m not thrilled with how the lawn looks right now. The Ryans should hire me some more help. I can’t keep up with watering all these bushes either!” Manish Mehta has deftly concluded that the “decay shown on the Ryan property is indicative of the decay throughout the organization with Ryan at the helm. Maybe in 6 months Rex will have the needed free time to properly care for his lawn…the way he didn’t properly care for his football team. RANDOM JET OF THE DAY – JOHNNY JOHNSON! - In 2 seasons with the Jets, Johnson racked up 1,752 rushing yards, 944 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns! More importantly, he is a BEAST in Tecmo Super Bowl…just give him the ball off tackle and let him eat!

Mark Sanchez’s Butt Fumble turned into silent film

The Butt Fumble by Mark Sanchez during the New York Jets-New England Patriots Thanksgiving Day game is my personal favorite highlight of the year.  Watching it never gets old, and this new silent film version is just incredible.  I don’t know how people come up with these ideas, but calling it “An Unfortunate End” is putting it lightly.
