It may too much to ask for Asante Samuel, Roy Williams, and to keep Reggie Brown at the same time, but in a perfect world, this could potentially be the face of the 2008 Eagles.

  • excellent read, BTW YA i agree KEEP reggie!!!
  • Very cool. Still would get rid of Kearse, though. LOVED the Considine trade. But nobody mentions JR Reed in the secondary. His game at the end of the season was INSANE!!! Love that kid!!
  • you love jr reed but you hate jevon kearse, jevon kearse is still on of the NFL's top defensive ends, and jr reed sucks and cant return kicks or field punts, and would only be good every three games for eagles he would not be consitent
  • JR Reed also plays safety in case you didn't know. Did you even watch the second half of the season? Probably not if you think Kearse is still one of the best DEs in the NFL. He has lost his FREAK. It's hard to get behind a guy who celebrates( his few contributions) so much that he isn't lined up in time.
  • oh and ps where does it say i hate anybody? We're not discussing the Cowboys.
  • Get rid of Brown he has poor hands. Keep The FREAK he will Seek and conqure the QB this year 10 sacks
  • i hope the eagles draft Tom Zbikowski ss from notre dames this will be a big upgrade and hes a p/R
  • yeah mcnabb blames his teammates sounds like TO more then mcnabb. Mcnabb just needs some WR look when he got TO he lead the eagles to the super bowl.
  • i agree only deal reggie if you have to he would be a good #2 and allow curtis to play the slot where he did so well at in St. Louis. But if it comes down to roy or reggie get roy. I dont think the lions will make the trade for considine. The eagles first priority should be samuel though because this would fill two needs in one move by getting a cb and allowing sheldon to take over the ss spot. then the eagles could draft a guy like Desean Jackson in the first round for returns or later on a guy like cromartie from Tennesse State. I dont know if anyone else has seen this guy play but he would be a steal even in the 2nd round 6'2" 220 with 4.4 speed could play safety or even Lb if he added some weight
  • Looks good man, sounds like a plan that could work, but we'll see. There is always something that happens which no one expects so we'll see what happens this off season.
  • eagles please stop talking and good choice at the draft and look for fitzgerald
  • Stallworth is a free agent and Jevon Walker will be cut.... I wouldnt deal a high pick and Brown for Williams.... no thanks! Also - Jevon Walker's foot is really bad and word is he needs to surgery to ever be 100% again! Asante Samuel will be an Eagle and Sheldon will go to FS when Dawkins retires!
  • That would be amazing if they could keep Brown and get Williams, but put Curtis at the #2 spot and Brown in the slot and almost always run 3 wide-outs. Asante Samuel would be a great addition and then put Sheldon Brown at Strong Safety, and as the season goes, my guess is he will have more interceptions than ever. I still think if they can't get roy williams then they should go after fitz, stallworth, then berrian
  • i say you cut kearse and darren howard!!! the only thing they can sack is groceries!!! free up some cap space and bench space!!! they only collect a check!!! and keep the bench warm for the other players!!!
considine thats another sorry situation but the fat phuck likes him and he is to safeties what todd stinkston is to receivers!!!! bring in peppers and let abirimiri get his feet wet!!! let jaqua thomas rotate with trent and the secondary with assante and lito for corners and dawk and sheldon safeties!!! teams shouldn't be able to score more than 10 pts. on us!!!
let's get a big play receiver and hopefully mc nabb won't get hurt and get his speed back!!! we then draft an o-lineman or 2 and a corner and safety to break in and learn from the best!!! maybe hire spagnuolo when j.j. retires!!!
but i'm dreaming dealing with this team is like being in a bad mariage i can only hope it gets better!!! it probably won't though!!!
  • LilEagle, you spoke the gospel truth! True Eagles fans should be sooooooooooo tired of just trying to get by on the wounded. It seems like every other player on the roster has had a major injury in one way or another. And it seems like the free agents we do get have been banged up and we hope that they will get better when we aquire them. WE NEED PLAYMAKERS!!! There is no way around it. As you stated LilEagle, no team should be able to score more than 10 points on us. And don't get me started on our 3rd down play. We either give them up on defense, or not make them at all on offense. When will this madness stop!!!!!!!
  • Philly blows and here's why.........no wonder Philly fans are always so grouchy.

  • these dudes don't have enough news in their on camp, that's why they keep their nose in ours. go follow the romo/ jessy thing. get a life!
  • AMEN
  • Most of these are excellent ideas. Except, Kearse is never coming back to the way he was. He's just taking up cap room. Same with Howard. Cut both of them. Brown should not play SS. Did no one watch Q this year. He was awesome and he deserves the SS position. Getting Samuels would be awesome, and I think it would bump Brown down to a nickel corner. And I think he would be better there. He had some big plays this year, but he got burnt a little too much to consider him a reliable starter for next season. I don't think we should get rid of Reggie Brown at all. He has real ability, he just needs to come into his own. I think if we could end up with Roy Williams, or Fitzgerald from the Cardinals, our offense would be outstanding. I think you alternate Curtis between #2 and slot receiver, giving brown the other starts at the #2 receiver. As far as the DE situation with Kearse gone. I think you have to see what Abiamiri does this off-season, and see what you can get in the draft.
  • You hit everything right on the head. i agree with everything. Kearse and howard got to go. Also, i wouldn't mind seeing Bernard Berrian from Chi-town come to philly. he shouldn't cost that much and he has speed, and good height. fitzgerald has a lot of $ coming to him. spend some money on a DE or get a DE in the draft that can start immediately.
  • philly fans are always so grouchy, i would know because now im a behavioral therapist, on top of everything else ive acclompished.
  • Me too
  • your comments reflect your intellectual capabilities.
  • YOu too
  • Wow, I'm impressed!
  • Why not go after Berrian in free agency? http://www.allphiladelphiasports.com/blog.php?bid=331
  • Lito/Reggie Brown gone.....Larry Fitz in....or Berriann......Samuel or Trufante in......drafted DE in.....Tackle Help needed....not Kimo or Reagor....need to draft somebody 6'#" who can cover Burress...Lito and Sheldon can't
  • get rid of dawkins...keep lito...keep sheldon...keep reed...
    get SAMUEL...

Analysis of Samuel's impact on the Eagles, should they sign him

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports Asante Samuel will be targeted by the Philadelphia Eagles. For those wondering what this means for Sheldon Brown and Lito Sheppard, the move would be perfect for the Eagles.

What I think the Eagles need to do to get back in the playoffs

The Eagles stuggled most of the past season but finished on a three game winning streak finisihing the year 8-8. Some of the positions that must be addressed this offseason would be: 1. Wide Reciever I hear a lot of people saying we need another corner back but i think this team needs another wide reciever first. You cant win if you cant score, and to many times this year the Eagles...

Eli to Tyree... this time called by Marv Albert

One of the Internet's favorite pastimes is making fun of Joe Buck, who by most accounts is a terrible announcer. Here someone has dubbed Marv Albert's radio call of Eli's Escape and the Helmet Catch over Joe Buck's original play-by-play. Joe Buck, you're terrible. Please pack up your holier-than-thou attitude and go home.

EAGLES WILL BE GREAT IN '08

Trent Cole has made himself at home in Honolulu. The Pro Bowl defensive end is an outdoors fanatic and he's been able to spend time tuna fishing and hog hunting in the days leading up to Sunday's Pro Bowl (4:30 PM (EST), FOX). "I'm having a great time out here," said Cole is at his first career Pro Bowl along with fellow Eagles teammates Shawn Andrews...

New Madden 09 Term... Bellichecked.

I invented a new term for Madden 08, 09. when someone looks at the screen while the other user is picking their play its now called Bellichecking... or Spygating. So if you feel your oppenent is looking at the plays your picking simply yell... "Stop Bellicheckin' me!!!" or "You just spygated me bro!". No word yet on what punishment Roger Goodell recomends.

Position Analysis: The Offensive Line

Never has there been more appreciation for the grunts. In Part 4 of my roster analysis of the Eagles, the focus is up front, to a group of men who are suddenly in the national spotlight after the Super Bowl once again illustrated the important of success at the line of scrimmage. As much as the Giants were lauded for their defensive pressure and the success of their line against...

Can the Eagles Use Adam (PACMAN) Jones??

I am just thinking out loud and I know you all may call me crazy, but just hear me out on this. #1- We need a Return Man PERIOD!! #2- Make him earn his keep, special teams only!! (IE: Trotter when he returned) #3-Make him roomates with B-dawk!!! #4-We can get a great player for cheap!! #5-He is in a desperate situation where he HAS to do right!! #6-We can give him a contract...

New England Standing Pat?

In a stark contrast to the Giants, the 2007 draft class was not as impactful for the New England Patriots. Armed with twelve total draft selections, the Patriots made nine draft selections and traded three picks in two different transactions.

Finally getting questioned

At last what I have been saying all along. Am I the only one who finds it interesting that they waited for the Giants to bet the Pats then want to question Brady.

Commercial CRitic: Nike & Reebok Love Losing

Talk about kicking a man when he is down. Nike and Reebok both made commercials celebrating the Patriots' loss in the Super Bowl. Both were insistent on poking the entire New England region in the eye with the word "perfect."
