Yeah I he sounded like he didnt know what to say. This is going to interesting to see what will happen in the upcoming months especially because he said he wouldnt shut up even if the club told him to.

He said that he will continue to play and go to mandatory practices. Nothing will happen.

Yea i dont think its he didnt know what to say but when he kept saying thats it i think chad wanted to be asked would you like a trade without directly saying it. Hopefully there is a trade in the works between the eagles and bengals. The bengals are just plain retarted if they dont get rid of him they are going to and are having the same situation as the eagles did with t.o.

i think you're right. there was more he wanted to say but wanted not to be the one to say it....I'm feelin bad for the bengals cause its just like the TO saga. They just need to cut their losses and get what they can for him in a trade

I was watching this when it was live and it was almost uncomfortable. Chad seems so frustrated that he doesn't even know what to say. I hope he gets traded because that will benefit both sides.

chad is a great reciever and he made a strong point before in other interviews if the team didnt want him he would not be there.. i honestly think that the bengals will trade him after june 1st so they wont take the cap hit and they may have an idea on who they will trade him to if lito stays thrue the draft expect that trade and lets add reggie brown to the deal cause the bengals just released chris henry

HAHA... LAUGHING MY ASS OFF!!! It justs showed right there that our beloved birds will never go after this guy, no matter how bad they want to win.... He is a straight head case and we dont have any leaders strong enough on our team to contain him and tell him to chill out. That was already proven with the t.o. situation. I'd love to have him but after watching that video it is highly doubtful now.

I wanna see Ocho in Philly as much as every Eagles fan, but I don't see it happening now. With Henry being cut, and him saying he's gonna do the mandatory workouts and all that stuff, I doubt it'll happen.

I remember seeing him on NFL Network talking about this and his eyes looked very emotional. But I know he's a an actor lol but do you really think ''Da Don'' and Chad would get along like brothers in the city of brotherly love with a happy ending?

Chad just wants to win and get #'s, how could Don and chad not get along. T.O had 1400 yds/ 14 TD's, so Chad would get his numbers and he would win. what is the problem that people see in Chad??!!

If this was the T.O situation then chad would be saying shitt about carson, marvin and the bengals right now. T.O and Chad? nothing alike... except #'s

I kinda just wanted the anchor to just ask Ocho some really slanted questions:

1) So Chad, what do you want Marvin Lewis to kiss when he tells you what to do?
2) What crazy stuff would you do if Marvin Lewis told you to stop doing celebrations?
3) In your own words, describe why you're the best receiver in America. Keep in mind that you want to get on a Super Bowl contender.

nothing alike??? are you kidding me?
these situations are very similar. a great WR that takes his team aggressions to the media instead of talking like a man to a coach or player that might be helpful. what did he think ESPN would do to help?
TO had problems with coaches and teamates...chad has problems with coaches and losing.when you're as great as he is it is so hard to accept losing as a career. a pro bowler and perennial hall of famer deserves to get the chance to be on a winning team....the bengals dont need the distractions. i see him finishing this season there and being traded this time next season.

rhcp thats were your wrong... their both head cases and this this team cant handle head cases. t.o. was detrimental towards players and the organization of philadelphia and chad is just being detrimental towards the organization of cinci.

I dont care how much of a problem Chad would be. T.O. lasted 1 year without opening his mouth and if Chad can at least do that we will be Super Bowl Champions.

yeah sell our souls for super bowls...
if it were guaranteed i'd give my own left nut to the bengals to get him here but as we saw with TO here and Randy Moss in NE...there are no guarantees in the NFL no matter how well great players play...and when there arent enough wins or enough money to go around...you have these situations destroy your team.
I like our chances the way we are. best Defense in the league, and a top 10 maybe top 5 Offense. as long as our special teams hold up we will be there with or without a "#1 WR"
show some faith in your team guys, players and fans askin for a madden like off season are what causes all of this drama

He is obviously frustrated and wants out. I think the Bengals will trade him if they are smart. Of course they haven't made any smart business decisions in quite some time. The trade between Eagles and Bengals makes a world of sense. Their defense needs all the help they can get and they would also recieve a mid round pick in the draft. With the money they are "losing" they are gaining an All-Pro CB with a small salary (compared to players with comprable skills). It's an even deal.

When he says it is about him: I want to win
Like Me?: It is no longer about entertaining the crowd
He seems like he is going to be vocally against the Bengals, and if they're losing, he will let them know where he stands.
He will play 100% be a productive player, but he is going to gain individual numbers and really not acknowledge anything that is team oriented. He is expecting a BAD season... As should most Bengals fans if some moves are not made to address their defense, as well as the loss of Chris Henry. However the addition of a WR even if in the draft, will result in two disgruntled veterans, trying to teach a rookie how to adjust... Not the ideal scenario at all in Cincinnati...

Look, he is one of the few WRs in the history of the NFL to be THE leader of the team. Steve Smith is the only other one. Chad is the GM, he ought to be the HC. Its obvious it aint Chad's fault, so what if he aint the Quan or Moss, hes given u the fans 5 years 5 pro bowls THATS pretty damn efficient wouldn't you say?

the interviewer is not very good. Too much dead air and Chad is full of too much hot air. The problem is Chad does not have any direction of how to get out of Cincy . He should follow the T.O. handbook 101 page 3, Shit all over your Quarterback, backstab the organization, ignore all signed contracts. Fist fight ambassador, sleep during meetings and NEVER EVER EVER ...Have NOTHING TO SAY !!!!!!

T.O. and Chad are 2 diffrent stories. The Eagles where winning plenty of games T.O. was having great sucsess. The problem there was that T.O. got greedy did'nt like his I think $80mil. contract and decided he wanted more money. Chad plays his balls off goes to the probowl every year. The problem with him is he's getting old and knows he's only got a limited time to go to a Superbowl. He is'nt asking for more money he just wants to win before it's to late for him. I dont think he is a serious head case! maby just a little flamboyent and out spoken. He's a leader on his team and just like D-Mac and B-WEST I think it's his right to be able to say when there is a problem. Just in his case there are to many problems to fix in the time he has left in his prime.I'm shure he went to the FO before the media,he is trying to put pressure on the FO. I dont know if he'll go as far as T.O. did to get out, but even if he does I still dont think he will start trouble on a team with a good chance to at least go to the playoffs. HE JUST WANTS TO WIN BEFORE IT'S TO LATE DO YOU BLAME HIM?????

He certainly made no sense during the interview. Seems more paranoid than anything. His comments referring to Dan Marino were also kinda outta left field. Where was he getting at. Seemed like he was saying he doesn't want to end up like Dan in that he was faithful to his team, never gave anyone grief, and although came up short of SB rings, he'll be a legend forever.
Seems to me he doesn't want to work for a championship, he just wants to be part of the problem instead of creating the solution. What can you say positive about a guy who wants to be expedited to an elite team, and put down his quarterback and coach..... yea, I'd say he's doing the whole TO thing all over again. Anyone who says different is obviously blinded by his teeth.

yeah, everybody can see Chad is just a T.O. mini me , He supported the whole T.O. drama , he wants the free ride to Dallas so he's acting up , so Jerry Jones can scoop him up too. It's already in the works i'm sure , heck they even have the same sports agent. I'm sure Chad will write a book, blah blah blah , And Drew can do the same old lines like " I LOVE THIS MAN"

im curious to know who set this interview up... did chad call espn or did they call him? the very next day, when the bengals cut henry, chad was on that ESPN anchors radio show and they broke the news to him... you shouldve heard the interview. he was on for a whole hour... someone needs to find that interview and post it, this problem is FARRRRR from over for the bengals...

He sounds really pissed......You know what if the guy wants out of the Bengals....let him go......to be honest i like the fact that he is true to himself.....so what if he's arrogant......that's his persona.......let him go to another team where he can be happy and maybe help a team win some games.........i would like to see him come to the Eagles, but if not let him go somewhere else

yeah why hold the guy hostage.
If he wants to win and they cant give that opportunity they need to be fair to a great player and allow him to make a career somewhere else.
If you're part of a company and their profits are down and they dont seem successful and you're the best worker they have by far....don't you have the right and responsibility to go to a better company?

Not if you signed a contract... It's a business, they don't have to make him happy. He shouldn't have ever signed his contract extension, then when he became a free agent, he could go to the best team at the time (to get the super bowl ring). He backed down a bit during this interview anyway...

well first off all marvi lewis screwed up chad johnsons outlook this year,if bengals coach would of protected chad from fans and media this would of never happned,
secound,i get wat chad is saying,he dont want to change because he wants to be old self, outstanding player but loud, but hes like a kid, dosent got much dissaplin, but i mean he's turning his self around,he will if he wants to make another big season and 6-time pro bowl,
also chads got a chance to win, their defense is building to be a good defense, got a normal rudi johnson(heavier),veteran quaterback, powerhouse offense line, and a lot of options for reciver, but only thing they need is chemistery to play as a family
