With free agency just around the corner, the Eagles are making their final adjustments as they prepare to, hopefully, solidify their offense this offseason. One move the Eagles won't make is they won't use their franchise tag on any of their possible free agents. This move was expected since the Birds don't really have anyone that they would want to retain for the high price of a franchised player..... Another player likely on his way out of town is offensive lineman Winston ...

  • No point to use franchise tag...on who, on what...dawkins comes back for a bargin and neither tackle is worth the ridiculous OT price tag, justice will go to someone for a 4th or 5th although thats too much, birds blew that one.
    • in the words of ray lewis you don't play less, so you don't take less. i'm not sure there will be a bargain with dawkins, if so the deal would of been done by now

        Ray Lewis ain't Dawkins.

You mean dawkins aint no Ray Lewis.

That was Ray Ray's words.....Dawk said he's willing to take less money to come back. He wants to retire and Eagle.

The Eagles will be lucky to get anything for Justice at all
  • This is good news if they are shopping Justice for a Draft pick. It means that they are likely trying to get an extra draft pick in order to use in a trade possibly with the Cardinals for Boldin. We don't need any more draft picks. Our team is too deep. Many of the people we draft this year will not even make the roster. Justice has more value on our roster than a later draft pick. Add on that currently we have no starting Tackles the only reason they would shop Justice is for more amo in a big trade!

We have too many O-linemen anyway. Not sure if this indicates any trade.

      What? Yeah they are.

Justice isnt worth any pick. Shopping him where?
        • ItsWhatever
It doesn't matter if he's worth anything, technically they are "shopping him". To anyone interested
  • A big answer to the eagles problems is bringing in stacey andrews, you dont need to pay him much, he's a tackle, and the biggest reason to help his brother cheer up and start hurting people again.
  • Dawk will be back, at his age having kids and all he wouldn't uproot his family now. I firmly believe he will come back.

Hell trade lito and justice and maybe a 3rd or 4th to cleveland and bring in winslow Jr! He would have a chip on his shoulder for being traded away and wants a raise so he would work harder and play the best football of his life!
  • ctphilly205
what kind of trade value do you think justice and lito have? combined they are most likely worth a 7th round pick in like 2015
  • jl91701
Brilliant planning by the front office. Let your 2 OT's become free agents and shop the player you spent a 2nd round pick on to replace one of them go for much less, brilliant.

Tra's coming back. I'm not gonna complain about trading Justice anytime soon.
  • COWBOYSSUCK
Using the franchise tag on Justice was far from expected that was never going to happen.
    • jl91701
they were not saying it was going to be used on Justice. The article says the team will not use the tag and are shopping Justice.
