From the horses mouth... Lito will get dealt during tomorrows draft

Well here it is folks. The trade we have all blogged, argued, and fantasized about. And no it still does not look like the Eagles will trade for a top flight receiver, although Michael Clayton could be a part of this deal and I pray that he is. But the most probable trade will be Tampa's 2nd and 4th round pick.

If that's the case, should the Eagles pull the trigger on this one? I understand that they would be getting a second and fourth round pick, but wouldn't you rather take the Rams second round pick than the Bucs.

I'm sure we are just trying to get as much as possible for him. I think that they need to have a deal done before the draft so they can possibly use the extra picks as ammo to move up further in the draft.

Bump that bull crap no WR no Trade Simple im tired of always drafting plus damn if we get another draft pick or 2 that will put us to 13 picks and that would be kind of a waste cuz we wont use them all so we are fine with the 11 pick we got so make it happen only with the addition of M. Clayton

Like I've said all day ..on every Article written on this topic.

If Clayton isn't at the Nova Care Complex for a complete physical,as I type this?
.... it ain't happening.

Damn ... what will we do without that 1 TD per the last 3 years.
really ...why do you believe the Eagles wou;d want him ?
He's terrible.

He lit it up his rookie year. Then he had two injury plagued seasons. Then he just wasnt rilli in the rotation last year. Anyone capable of puttin up a 1000yd season is welcome here. He did it as a rookie.

We have 11 picks, what will 2 more do for us? I am sure there's a strategy that I am not even qualified to comment on, but COME ON, 2 picks & another #2/3 wideout? This is stupid. Let's just focus on having a Lito/Sheldon/Assante backfield & shove everyone else up front to stuff the run - can't lose if we don't give up any points!

Chris Simms... Chris Gardocki.... then Jeff Garcia... oh lets not forget Joey Golloway and Maurice Stovall... the three qb's and the qb rotatation plus Joey Golloway and a head coach trying to build around a Cadillac has left Clayton out of the mix. Put in a line up that he is on the field every snap with a great qb throwing the ball with some guys to help take off the attention of him and he puts up a 1000 yrd season with 8-12 td's a season. Dont just look at the player... this a team sport 1 guy doesnt make a team and 1 guy cant beat 11 defenders he has had no solid qb each year he has a diff qb throwing to him and since cadillac was drafted they have tried to build the team around him not the passing game.

Swap you for JT.
