Giants target Carr to back up Eli

It looks like former overall No. 1 pick David Carr could be the backup for Eli Manning with the New York Giants next season. Carr, according to several published reports, will be visiting with the Giants tonight and Thursday.

Might be a good move for the Giants. The poor kid is so gun-shy now because of the beatings he took in Houston. I really thought he would do good things in the NFL and he still might.

it wasnt really his fault. houston and their line just flat out blew. they thought bringing schaub in would get them to above .500 and maybe into the playoffs, we all know how well that worked out.

Yes, their line sucked. Too bad. Ruined a good QB. He wasn't much better at Carolina.

Actually Houston did finish at .500 for the first time in their history though they didn't make the playoffs. And that was with Schaub missing 4-5 games towards the end of the year when they had to turn to Rosenfels, they still had probalby their best season offensively. AFC south is prettty tough too.
