Goodell's draft day moves get the highest marks & 10 biggest winners/losers & Five biggest gambles / 5 quotes to remember & 5 reasons to attend 09 draft

A year ago, we urged commissioner Roger Goodell to speed up the draft. So he did, and the results speak for themselves. The first round took 3:30, the fastest since 1990. A year ago it was a painfully slow 6:20, and it took its toll on Goodell. That's why he pushed for a 10-minute limit, and the plan worked so well the first two rounds were completed in the time it took to complete the first round of 2007. When Goodell announced the results his audience applauded. "I'll take that as a sign of approval," he said.

2. This time there was no Green Room drama. All six players the NFL invited to New York for this weekend's draft went off the board with the first six picks. There was no Aaron Rodgers, no Matt Leinart and no Brady Quinn. In short, there wasn't the anguish of reality TV. It was the first time all six players at the draft disappeared with the first six picks.

It's a 3 pager folks & not everyone is gonna like what this guy says: but that's the beauty of it!!

On a side NOTE: he agree's with Dewey on the picking of Flacco ;0 !!! this draft, more so then other years, seems to have been full of surprises and some WTF's on other teams, but you have to realize, it ain't really over yet (the draft is,) but the wheelin & dealin isn't. MAKE NO mistake i don't agree with everything that's written here.........

5. LaMont Jordan, running back, Oakland -- With the addition of Darren McFadden, Jordan and his $4.7 million salary are expendable. Time to contact the realtor, LaMont
yow man we'll see girlie i liked what we did the past 2 days. i know what people say about oakland and i dgaf it's my team. and yeah i am still high over mcfadden lol

9. Pittsburgh Steelers -- They make no moves, yet have Rashard Mendenhall and Limas Sweed fall to them on the first day. Beautiful. Then they choose Dennis Dixon in the fifth round? Wow. That wasn't luck. The Steelers decided to act before someone else did, and they might have something special.

steeltown bring it i'm lovin the past 2 days

Three pretty good picks there, Marko. Should help the Steelers out if Sweed lives up to his billing.

Ten Biggest Losers:
I liked this one and I'm sure it will make RedEclipse's day........LOL
4. Michael Vick, quarterback, Big House -- Your return ticket to Atlanta just got canceled. Matt Ryan is the polar opposite of Vick. He has a decent arm. He stays out of trouble. And he likes dogs. In case you missed it, Michael, this was Arthur Blank's way of saying, "You're fired!"

matty ryan nailed it for em!!! love that kid!!!!

3. I wonder if Arizona knows what it's getting in cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The big-screen graphic at Radio City Music Hall listed him a 6-10, 184. Now this I have to see.

lol now that's a mistake

yeah i know & i don't even remember seeing that on the screen ODD!!!!

good exciting draft.... cant wait till next year!!!
