Jason Taylor a Philadelphia Eagle- It Was Close

Reports had the Eagles showing interest in acquiring Jason Taylor from the Dolphins prior to Taylor's trade to the Redskins yesterday.

The Dolphins were seeking a second and fifth round draft choice from the Eagles for Taylor.

If this is indeed the final year before the "Championship Window" closes on the Eagles (and we usher in the Kolb era) Taylor would have been a nice veteran addition opposite Trent Cole.

Though one does have to question how much Taylor has left and his dedication to football and not Hollywood. I still stink the Eagles will be fine at the DE position with the addition of the young, speedy Chris Clemons, along with Abiamiri and Parker.....

not worth it considering Taylor said he was only playing for 1 more season. Plus we have great DE as is.

since we almost signed moss and taylor does this mean we almost make it to the superbowl?

A 2nd and 5th round pick is WAY too much for a guy that said puclicly that he only wants to play 1 more season. I would've passed on that too.

publicly. whatever.

Philly is stacked at DE. There are going to be quarters that opposing OLmen see 3 different DE/DT from the Eagles. Taylor doesnt have the heart to play in Philly anyway. But hes has a great career

We don't need Taylor. We already learned our lesson about signing a DE at the end of their prime (Jevon Kearse).

not the same thing.

taylor isnt worth it thats not where we are weak at.....giving a 2nd rounder for a guy who said he only wants to play one more year isnt worth it

its funny how after the trade, he's been rumored to have almost been a member of every team in the nfc east.

it dosent matter whos at D-end as long as we whoop the cowgirls twice this year

exactly, looks like it will come down to who's QB makes better decisions this year with both great secondaries. I like McNabb's chances.
