Agreed... Jamracus Russell has the STRONGEST arm in the NFL, by far. May not have the most accurate one, though. Actually, I'm pretty sure he has the most inaccurate arm in the NFL, hahah.

As a broncos fan I can agree that his throws are harder than Elways were. Now better than Favre in his prime probably not. His throws are way harder than Mannings and I love Manning. Manning is just more accurate. Russell may have a better arm I'm not sure but who cares that guy can't hit a broad side of a barn!

Most scouts will tell you that the only current player with a stronger arm than Cutler is Russell. But then again, Russell's arm is like a girl with a pretty face and a terrible body. Who the hell cares?

Just show up to the QB competition in Hawaii during Pro Bowl week, and he can prove it. Nobody in the league right now can claim any kind of distinct advantage, there are a group of bombers but none outshines. There are no Jeff Georges in the NFL right now.

There is no question Russell can throw the ball but speed and accuracy need to be taken into account together. Cutler has the best arm in the NFL right now. And if any of you actually read the entire article you would know that Elway agrees with Cutler.

Are we talking speed or distance? Speedwise, Favre probably still has everyone beaten. Distance, it's a toss-up.

And it's not like we're comparing Bart Starr and Johnny Unitas to the modern incarnations. We're talking ten years ago, players were still huge.

When they talk about the modern physical prototype for a QB, they're using the Montana-Elway-Marino model. While other positions have grown two inches, 30 pounds and shed .5 off of their 40 times, the QB is still pretty much 6'3" to 6'5", 210-230 pounds, just like they were ten to fifteen years ago when Elway and Marino played.
