Harry Potter and the Top Ten Receivers
Here are my top 10 receivers, tell me what you think. Honorable mentions: Terrell Owens, Anquan Boldin, Braylon Edwards, Plaxico Burress

  • 1
    Andre Johnson

Big, fast, great hands, hes almost uncoverable

  • 2
    Larry Fitzgerald

not fastest guy but can go up and get anything and has great hands, dominated the playoffs this year

  • 3
    Calvin Johnson

6'5" fast as anything, had 1300 yards and 12 tds on the worst team in nfl history, imagine if he had a qb, he could be the best receiver in nfl history

  • 4
    Randy Moss

    straight cash homey

  • 5
    Steve Smith

not the biggest guy but always makes the big catches when his team needs him too

  • 6
    Brandon Marshall

keeps getting better, lets see how he does without cutler

  • 7
    Roddy White

had a sick year last year, big reason for falcons turn around

  • 8
    Reggie Wayne

    mr. consistant

  • 9
    Greg Jennings

underrated, big play threat for packers

  • 10
    Santonio Holmes

still getting better, looked awesome in playoffs and superbowl, watch for him to climb this list

I like the whole list except the ten spot. I could name a load of WRs better than Holmes. Wes Welker, Quan, Dwayne Bowe, Antonio Bryant, Hines Ward, thats just a few.

i want to see bryant be more consistant, im still not convinced about bowe yet, still dont love quan, AND I HATE WELKER he feeds off of the success of randy moss and would not be good in any other system, i would not put him in my top 20 receivers

I didn't say that they should be in the top 20, which some of them should, but they are definitely better than Holmes.

i think holmes is a beast, next year will be a breakout year after that superbowl, ill name 15 more guys not on my list better than welker, just for kicks, edwards, t.o., boldin, burress, bowe, bryant, ward, vincent and desean jackson., eddie royal, berrian, coles, holt, colston, lee evans

Yes, but you don't have Holmes better than Welker.

Andre's the sh*t! No Boldin? I'd tell ya Reggie Wayne's a pretty boring pick for this list but I usually say crap like that then go look at the stats and have to come back and apologize to ya. And you know I want to see T.O. up there, too.

I didn't see the "honorable mentions". Wow, you can disregard everything I've said. Ehhh....it's for the best anyway.
  • eagles4ever05
I like it except for Holmes
    • HarryPotter
      Placard_complete_small
its an outside pick, but i like his potential and he dominated in the superbowl

        Placard_complete_small
for once i agree with you.nice list.
      • eagles4ever05
yes he did dominate but I am still not sold untill Ward goes away
  • eagles4life05
9 and 10 i don't really agree with and white should be around 10. also Fitz is #1 but the rest is pretty good
  • Zukny1
bump santonio holmes and reggie wayne and you start to have a list.
  • mjmaus
    pretty solid list

One game does not catapult Holmes to the top ten receivers in the entire NFL. He may not even be top 20 to be honest with you. Desean Jackson had 7 more catches during the season and almost 100 more yards receiving than Holmes did last year.....as a rookie. You're telling me Holmes is ahead of those 4 on your honorable mention? Come on man, you're gonna lose credibility with stuff like that.
    • HarryPotter
      Placard_complete_small
you may be right, im going out on a limb a little, but i think hes going to be really good next year
  • I_bleed_green
    Placard_complete_small
So is Desean. and Desean had better numbers last year....but I don't think Desean is near the top 10 either...i just think he's above Holmes.

Boldin may be mentionable here.... he scores TDs
TO still has breath in his lungs

    holmes is my hero.
  • khollen
    Placard_complete_small
i agree except holmes hasn`t proven enough in regular season to be ahead of LEE EVANS. every one who has made one of these lists hasn`t put him on it why?last year 63catches 1017 yds 3td`s. last 6 years 296 catches 4744 yards,32 td`s.
  • DeWare
yeah solid list, but like everyone else I disagree about Holmes. Would probably put Boldin there. Next 5 maybe...Lee Evans, Colston, TO, Welker, and then Holmes.
  • 1way2play
yeah pretty good list I won''t nit pick but I still like T.Holt, and T.O. in this list
  • I_bleed_green
    Placard_complete_small
how can Holmes even be in the top 15 if he had lower numbers than Desean Jackson did? because he made a big catch in the super bowl?
  • apollokid
    Placard_complete_small
I gotta say man, the list is fairly solid. Although it should be a crime that you don't have Boldin on that list. Hes better than half the WR's on there, I mean cmon, SANTONIO HOLMES is on the list and ANQUAN BOLDIN ISNT? Thats crazyness man. And also, best pure WR in the game is Calvin Johnson. He may be top 3 in NFL history by the time hes done.
  • mjmaus
the Eagles should get half off for Boldin since he's broken
  • tugboatjon
love the list especially since andre johnsons at the top its a shame its took this long for ppl to recognize him for his talents
    • HarryPotter
      Placard_complete_small
i agree, ive been saying how good he is for years, but espn was too busy sucking off randy moss on the raiders to realize he was a player
  • tugboatjon
and whats with the TO ppl the guys a has been smack talker with nothin to back it up lol oh and did i mention cry baby lmao
  • tugboatjon
shaubs good to an extent but ill always wonder wut it would be like to have a QB that could really get the ball to andre
    • HarryPotter
      Placard_complete_small
i know, i feel the same way about calvin johnson, but he has more time than andre does, but if these guys could get a qb they could be breaking records, just see moss's one year with brady
  • tugboatjon
2 shay do ya think the texans got somethin better for andre with orlovsky

    • HarryPotter
      Placard_complete_small
no, schaub is better than orlovsky, schaub isnt bad, hes just a middle of the pack starter
  • tugboatjon
yeah i believe schaub will keep the spot as long as he can stay healthy just thank god rosenfels is out of the picture dependable at times but a real kick in the crotch lol
    • HarryPotter
      Placard_complete_small
sorry to bring this up but i was watching the rerun of the colts texans game that he blew last year, man was that bad
  • tugboatjon
lmao its a game to be remembered thats for sure
  • UNC23Tarheels
    Placard_complete_small
Harry Potter loved the List with the exception of One itsy bitsy little thing,Why Roddy White gotta be at #7 for?? Gotta stick up for my Falcons,LOL still a good list though..
    • HarryPotter
      Placard_complete_small
hes definately climbing it, but i like the 6 above him better
  • Mega2184
