Five whats your deal man...sometimes your cool and know your stuff, other times you just look plain stupid...your always comlaining about useless arguing, but cant resist yourself. Just keep dancing about hitman, and dont hate becuase of a charge that was dismissed of freaken POT, when your dancing over someone who paid "the shooter" of a now paralyzed person as well as injured other innocent people thats fine if thats your taste, but dont for a second compare a DISMISSED POT charge to someone whose DIRECTLY INVOLVED with basically ending a human life. Thats nonsense and you know it...

Oh, so the whole Eagles team is a bunch of altar boys? Is that what you are trying to tell me? Dismissed because he had a good lawyer and it was his first offense. Hell, OJ was dismissed. Do you think he's innocent? I guess nobody in the world deserves a second chance, huh? I had my troubles as a youth, too, but I didn't turn out a habitual criminal. Yeah, we are taking a chance on the guy, but that's life. We took a chance on Tank, too, and he came in here and contributed and helped this team win witout a whimper of trouble out of him all year.

Tank didn't really get in trouble, after the bears released him, the police found that his alcohol level was below the legal limit, compared to pacman, whos ear biting off level was way OVER the leagal limit.

Its not a Cowboys thing 5, its a Pacman thing. Im in NO WAY saying the Eagles are altar boys...I never trashed a Cowboy besides Pacman, who actually may never play as a cowboy. Honestly 5, I dont have a problem with weed, but I think NFL players should be more responsible with the amount of money they earn and in their roles as "role models". That being said, calling Mike Patterson A BUST for having a pot charge dismissed while leading the leagle in tackles as a DT in 07, and playing nearly everygame since being drafted while improving each time, is just ridiculous.

I didn't write the article and I didn't call Mike Patterson a bust. Not sure where you got that. Oh, I think NFL players should be responsible, too, but they aren't and that's life. But, people do change. Not saying he will, but if he does, we just made a heck of a deal, Howie.

And Pacman is no child, and is ALREADY a "habitual criminal"

Being 23 or 24 does not constitute mature, that's for sure. Been there, done that. And, if you would have listened to his gig with Michael Irvin and what he came through growing up, you might understand why he grew up the way he did. A lot of players have trouble getting away from that, even as young adults. We just happen to have one of the best programs in the NFL for this kind of thing. If it doesn't work, the Cowboys are out nothing and get their 4th round pick back.

When I pay big bucks to attend game, I want players out there who I know aren't freaking high and not performing to the standards that they can perform at. Are you telling me that a stoned player can play just as well as one who isn't? Give me a break.
      • jared360
        Placard_complete_small
Obviously it didnt affect him negatively...most tackles by a DT in 07..and he also didnt pay anyone to SHOOT SOMEONE!

          Placard_complete_small
Maybe he's not smoking during games, but don't you think smoking anything deters from someone's ultimate physical health? And, get off the shooting thing, would ya? Heard enough of it. It's history. Move on to something else. Geeze!!!!

yeah he can, i used to get my buddy high before his football games and he tore s**t up. besides i think the players who do smoke pot are definitely not doing it on game day. thats just a retarded thing to say 5

          Placard_complete_small

      dope is great, Bubs
  • joyner56fan
patterson had a outstanding year last year and im sure will progess even more this season, they have 2 young good dt's
  • First off patterson isn't a bust because he has gotten better every year and even with his stats now he still is a decent player. Thank you for them putting him in the bust catergory so maybe he will be determined to prove them wrong and he does good.
  • superqb05
if Patterson is a bust then the Raiders are winning the Super Bowl. HAHA!

Pattersons the man...pot should be legal....end of story. I'd much rather have a player smoke up once and awhile then getting drunk every weekend.
  • MikeSB
    Placard_complete_small
yeah simply must not watch football much, Patterson had a fantastic year and yes should have made the pro bowl. If Patterson smokes pot....what does this guy smoke?
  • FIVERINGS
    Placard_complete_small
He smokes dope. What's he doing on the Eagles team. Aren't they a bunch of altar boys with angel wings?
    • Placard_complete_small
yeah, I thought Dallas was the only team that had players with character issues
      • FIVERINGS
        Placard_complete_small
Those people in some town starting with a Ph think so. I'm surprised that all of their players can make it to the noon games on Sunday since they are all in church.
    • superqb05
he was sticking up for his stupid brother who is on probation and didn't want him to get in trouble, even though he should slap him across the face for being soooooo stoooopid.

pacman is a worthless thug and if it wasn't for football he'd be in jail for a very long time.

Just because the coach has a drug den in his house, doesn't mean the team are a bunch of drug users. LOL at the notion that if a guy smokes weed ever that he is playing at less than peak level.
    • Placard_complete_small
      good point Bubs
    • FIVERINGS
      Placard_complete_small
I didn't say if that if someone that smokes weed one time he is going to be a worse player. It's like anything else foreign that you put in your body. It's not going to benefit an athlete in the long run. Smoke is smoke, whether it's dope or weed. If it's smoked all of the time , it's going to have an effect on the lungs. Any kind of medical journal will tell you that if you want to check it out.
      • FIVERINGS
        Placard_complete_small
LOL......meant to say dope or cigarettes.

    Placard_complete_small
so the moral of the story is for all you athletes is, if you have weed, don't smoke it... make some hash brownies instead. Share them with your team mates, cuz what did we learn last week? yes thats right, sharing is good.
