Wow...what would make him do something like this? Too bad!!
    • SMH12289
Others are calling it a homicide..I don't know where the suicide thing came from
    • Tanya86
The news is saying that he was shot twice in the head and a woman was found dead. So either she did it or there's a murderer on the loose. If that's the case, I hope they catch the person asap.
    • Traybay
Yeah...they said it was a double homicide...so I pray the murderer will be brought to justice!!!

So sad, he had everything to live for. I hope they catch the bastard that did this. And whats up with all the famous people dying all od a sudden. Karl, Ed, Farah, Billy, Ed and now Steve.....RIP.
    • giantsrepeat
Damn, now they are saying it may have been a murder suicide.
  • My prayers are with his wife and kids.

With all this death going around, this may be the saddest. The man had his life taken from him by another man ... and at just 36 years old, too. Since being a QB takes you away from your family, it's a shame that he was taken away when he could finally devote his time to them.

I'll never forget the image I have of McNair -- I saw him walking through the lobby of the team hotel, wearing jean shorts, a tshirt that looked like he bought it at TJ Maxx, and a Bluetooth headset. I'll miss him.

This is crazy. They say now it was a murder suicide, and the girl was his girlfriend. Im guessing he was tryin to break it off with her then she went ape **** and shot him twice and then killed herself, because they said they found the gun underneath of her. Either way being an Eagles fan I always respected McNair, he was as tough as nails and its too bad he didn't get that ring. RIP Steve.

R.I.P Steve McNair. From the way it sounds, it was a murder-suicide. Just from hearing about multiple gunshot wounds to him and one to herself with the gun right next to her. That usually indicates it. The fact that they were not actively pursuing any suspects also indicates that. It's easy to indicate it by the tragectory of the bullet and the location. It's just a really sad, unfortunate, tragic situation.

A married 36-year old man dating a 20 year old chick and setting her up in a condo? Sounds like he was inviting trouble and it found him. Too bad it happened, but as more details come out, I am not surprised that it happened.

I will miss him much. My heart goes out to my Soror Line Sister Mechelle. One Alcornite to another much love...

McNair was cheating on his wife and was about to leave her for a much younger woman. He cared nothing about his family and only about himself. I liked Steve but what he was doing behind his wife's back was an invitation for disaster. Many athletes look at themselves above others and they're not. Some don't see what they have done or could care less about the consequences. I have no sympathy for the man have no sympathy for people like Magic Johnson who brought the HIV virus into his house. I stopped putting these athletes on a pedestal a long time ago. If he was killed during a random shooting while out with his family I would feel different but when you play you pay. This time he paid with his life. My prayers go out to his wife and children.

You play with fire, then you're going to get burned at some point. McNair paid the ultimate price. In spite of all of the good things he did on the field and with his charities, his d*ck got him in some trouble he couldn't get out of. Sounds like she had a big 4th of July planned all along.

bowlbound i do have to agree with you on this subject. it is tragic, but you reap what you sow.
