  What is sad about this is that he should have hired a consultant to guide him on what to do to stay out of prison. The real sad part of this is that his little boy loses dad for 2 years because a mayor is a headline hound. He should not be doing hard time for doing something stupid where nobody got hurt but him.

    You forget your roots sir. New York State has a mandatory jailtime law, for anything illegal involving guns, registered or otherwise. The judge could not have freed Plax, if he wanted to. The judges have no leeway given to them for gun crimes.

    I know wheelman, but as I have posted in the past, over 70% of people charged with this crime for the first time never go to jail unless they have priors. That is a fact, not something I made up, it's public knowledge for all to see.

  Agreed. Maybe he should hire Mike Vick as a prison consultant. Better use that soap-on-a-rope, Plax.

  This guy was a canidate for prison from High School, College and two NFL teams. He was out of control before he shot his stupid self. Conceal Weapons Permit say, Do not take guns into drinking establishments. Guns and alcohol don't mix. He thought he was above the law and he got away with a lot. How does a person go from a Super Bowl touchdown to Prison? Dude signed a new contract and he still would not follow Giants procedures. He got fined repeatedly. He needed mental health help. He was going to prison for something. Shooting yourself is not always the way to get there but he made it work for him. Dude was out of control,face the facts. And, he bribed everybody from telling the World, he shot himself. The Doctor and staff at the hospital did not report the shooting. Which is against the law also. Consult that. He earned his prison term. I hope he makes little rocks out of big rocks every day he is in prison. A millionaire taking a gun in a club. How dumb can the man be? Put him in the dumbest criminal section of the prison with the rest of the mental patients. Just plain dumb.
