So, We Know Who Mel Kiper Jr. Thinks The Ravens Should Take

We all love Mel Kiper Jr. He's a Baltimore guy, he's brought Baltimore swag to ESPN for a number of years, and is one of the few gurus who gets it right more than he gets it wrong.

And yeah, he's known for an occasionally bombastic statement or two, but they don't come more bombastic than this.

Sounds like he's saying that's who the Ravens WILL take (if he's available); not that they necessarily SHOULD take him. Personally, JC, I think Matty "Ice" is as overrated as they come. Ugh. I hope the Chiefs or Falcons take him.

Not really, he is the only NFL ready quarterback in the draft. Franchise quarterback for years, only 1 in the draft.

I think Ryan is a great prospect, but he's by no means a finished product.

Brian Brohm seems to be a completely forgotten man - there are a couple of things that he needs to work on, but it seems that people are completely ignoring the fact that most of the things that they're saying about Ryan now were being said about Brohm a year ago, about how pro ready he is, and if anything, that's improved in the past year, not only because he had his best year statistically, but also because the year Louisville had on the field no doubt toughened him up and taught him a lot of about dealing with adversity.
