So pretty much all the fun has been sucked out of free agency thanks to the awful Franchise Tag, which needs to go! The Panthers signed OT Jordan Gross to a 6-year deal AND tagged Peppers to boot. What are the Eagles options? Draft an OT in the first round and puruse T.J. Houshmandzadeh! Here is my full rant/analysis... (Good reading with lots of links).

  • dont worry its not only the eagles that suffer from this like i said before...its every team that was pursuing players like peppers (cowboys) im glad he got tagged so the cowboys werent able to get him since he favored playing for them b/c of the 3-4...and how likely was it really for carolina to let go a very good young tackle?
  • dallas wasn't pursueing him, it was peppers that wanted dallas like alot of players do...we already have the best pass rusher by far in the game right now in Dware, and dallas has anthony spencer on the other side of ware, and he will eventually be a beast on the opposite side too
  • Spencer is coming on and will be a force on defense. Greg Ellis' playing time is going to be limited. Still would like to have another guy who can get after the QB though.
  • Someone can still get him w/o giving up the 2 first round picks. All that has to happen is for them to work out a trade w/ Carolina for whatever Carolina wants to ask for him. Thing is, he claims he'll ony accept a trade to 4 teams - what if none of those 4 teams are willing to give up what they want for him? 4 is not a big #.
  • The cowboys couldn't afford Peppers anyway. It will be another year before Jerry can open his checkbook without constraints of a salary cap. Good luck keeping up with the cheap front office the eagles have then. I know Dallas sucked but it wasn't so bad watching the eagles lose in the playoffs when everyone was sure they were going to win. Ha ha eagles and their fans suck.
  • "Eagles Suck" LOL coming from a Cowboys fan??/ Hey buddy your cowboys can't even win a playoff game. It has been years and years..........The eagles front office is not cheap! They are smart and they only pay players that are worth it, and they don't trade away their entire draft for a WR who can't even figure out a way to catch the ball even though he has TO and WiTTEN drawing coverage away from him....Yeah I rather have the Eagles Front office anyday over your stupid Owner who thinks he can buy a championship with overpaid THUGS!
  • Blah, blah, blah........another original statement hits the YB.
  • Yup greatest team on paper dallas Cowboys! yet one and done last year and missed the show all the way this time nice job jerry just plz keep doing what you do and you will keep loosing and afther next year ware is leaving lol
  • That was the highlight of the Eagles season.
  • Ware isn't going anywhere. He's getting ready to sign what is probably the biggest contract ever for a defensive player.
  • Doubt it, Haynesworth's will be bigger.
  • That could be true, but remains to be seen. Haynesworth to Dallas? Haha!!
  • The cowgirls are going to be like the yankees. There going to pay all the old has beens way too much money and there not going to get anything out of it.
  • Eaglesklexo if we are looking at the past then your team can't win a superbowl. How many do the eagles have? 1 or 2 try ZERO. By the way it is hardly trading away the draft when you have 9 draft picks. Talk to me when you win 1 superbowl....I won't even make you wait till your organization gets 5.
  • uh, SB's don't count if you weren't born yet, sure they get bandwagon fans to start liking the team, such as yourself, but bring you no satisfaction. Especially due to the fact that they haven't won a playoff game in your lifetime either, you are twelve right?
