In what can only be seen as an act of cruelty towards Lions fans, the NFL is attempting to limit how much you can drink at an NFL game. The league has issued a new set of recommendations for teams out there, all aimed at keeping your blood alcohol level more in line with Detroit's winning percentage. Michael McCarthy at USA Today reports that the league is asking teams to limit tailgating to three-and-a-half hours before kickoff, and limit customers to just two 20-ounce beers each. ...

That's the worst thing I've ever heard in my life! You can't watch football without beer!

I have to drink at home before I go to the game now. Yes, it is a horrible idea Tanya.

I don't know if you guys know this, but you cannot drink at OSU games. They don't serve alcohol. They only way to drink is to tailgate, and you aren't suppose to do it there either. I would die if they shut down tailgaiting or limited it in anyway during the Buckeye games. I go to several NFL games every year and drink with the fans before I go to the games. It's awesome to get to know other teams and their culture like that.

Tailgating is a tradition. We have a bunch of friends gather in Norman, where you can't buy beer at the games, but there is a place called O'Connells across the street where you also go and hang out and buy beer to drink. I am more into tailgating at the Cowboy games and they have limited the tailgating bigtime at the new stadium. It's a full day out for us with a cookout and the whole nine yards. Of course, teams want that extra revenue from food sales, etc......but come on. Let us have some fun.
