Lifelong Cleveland Browns fan Scott Entsminger died last Thursday at age 55. His obituary ran in the Columbus Dispatch, imploring attendees at his funeral to wear Browns gear, and oh… one other request:
According to the obituary, Entsminger “respectfully requests six Cleveland Browns pall bearers so the Browns can let him down one last time.”
Nice final jab at his beloved team, who must have let him down so, so many times during his 55 years.
Upon hearing about the request, the team opted not to send the six pallbearers, but sent along a jersey to his widow instead. Looks like Entsminger was about to have the last laugh, but in the end, the joke was on him.
