We've called for more Jacquizz for a while and last week our calls were answered. As the Falcons get deeper into the season, the brass is realizing more and more that Michael Turner is not a great fit for the offense Dirk Koetter is running and that he's getting up there in "football" years and Michael Cunningham covered it today in DOL's blog. If we look back at the last three games, Jacquizz has been gaining playing time every game as he went from playing 41% of the snaps against the Saints to 47% against the Cards to 51% against the Bucs. Turner on the other hand went from 45% against the Saints and Cards down to 38% against the Bucs. Snelling has seen a little more playing time as he went from 15% against the Saints to 25% against the Cards back down to 20% against the Bucs. It's obvious that Jacquizz gives the Falcons something that the other two RBs on the roster don't have and that's the wow factor. The ability to stop on a dime and make a guy miss in the open field. He's also more versatile and the Falcons are able to make better use of him in the passing game. Let's hope Dirk Koetter finds the right ways to use all our running backs and that Jacquizz is in the game more when it matters. All you have to do is watch the 4th quarter of the Tampa Bay game to see how important and impactful he can be in our offense.
