Aaron Hernandez will remain in Bristol County House of Correction for at least the time being. Hernandez, who was draped in a dark green jumpsuit with his hands tied tightly together by handcuffs, was denied bail once again on Thursday during a bail review in Bristol Superior Court in Fall River. He was charged with first-degree murder and five gun-related counts during his arraignment at Attleboro District Court on Wednesday. He was initially denied bail during that hearing. Judge Renee Dupuis presided over the hearing in Fall River on Wednesday, but in the end felt that the case against Hernandez was too strong to offer bail. “The Commonwealth have presented a case that (is) circumstantial, to be sure, but very, very strong,” Dupuis said before denying Hernandez’s attorney’s motion. Hernandez’s attorney’s Michael Fee and James Sultan focused on Hernandez’s life as a homeowner, devoted fiance and father as reasons for him to be allowed out on bail. Sultan also focused on Hernandez’s stellar football career and claimed that he was gainfully employed — although, the Patriots ended that reality with his release on Wednesday. Hernandez is also now being investigated for potential involvement in a double murder in July 2012. Have a question for Luke Hughes? Send it to him via Twitter at @LukeFHughes or send it here.

  • Of course he was denied bail. He's going to prison for a very long time. His life is basically over. And anybody who says he's innocent until proven guilty needs to just shut the hell up. This guy practically led the police to his front door with all the stupid things he did leading up to his arrest. Now we are finding out he may have killed at least two others in a drive by shooting, not to mention the man he shot in the face last year(why wasn't he charged with attempted murder at that time???). Just get this creep through the process as fast as possible and lock his sorry asss up for about the next 50 years. Phuck this creep he deserves no consideration what so ever, just a fair trial that will convict him for his heinous acts and put him exactly where he belongs.
