When defensive lineman Adam Carriker joined the St. Louis Rams as a first-round pick in 2007, Jim Haslett was the defensive coordinator, the team played in a 3-4 alignment, and Carriker excelled. Now, Carriker will play for the Washington Redskins - acquired in an offseason trade - and Haslett is the defensive coordinator who is moving the team to a 3-4 scheme. "It just kind of fits me physically," Carriker said. Carriker, though, hasn't played since 2008. He underwent surgery to repair a torn muscle in his shoulder late in the 2009 preseason, and missed the entire year. That helped create the impression that Carriker - the 13th overall pick out of Nebraska in 2007 - was a bust with the Rams. In 31 games over his first two seasons, he was in on 53 tackles and had two sacks, and he was traded to the Redskins last month for Washington Redskin - St Louis Rams - Adam Carriker - Jim Haslett - Sports
