With one of the greatest playoff weekends in the books, we now look forward to Championship weekend. We already looked at the NFC and now we bring our attention to the AFC. Can Ray Lewis continue leading the Ravens when no one’s giving them a chance? Or will Tom Brady and company steamroll their way to New Orleans? On Sunday, we will find out. But, in the meantime, here’s my take on it. AFC Championship: January 20th. 6:30pm in Foxborough, Massachusetts Baltimore Ravens @ New England Patriots We have a rematch. For the second straight season, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the New England Patriots with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line. The Ravens, however, are without (cover your ears Baltimore fans) Billy Cundiff. The goat of last year’s game, which missed a 31 yard field goal in the closing seconds of the 2012 AFC Championship, has been since removed from the roster. The Ravens, however, do still have Ray Lewis. Not for long though. Ray Lewis’ last game in the NFL is in the near future. Whether it is this Sunday or February 3rd lies in the hands of himself and his teammates. Joe Flacco has a lot of playoff experience. Tom Brady has even more. The Patriots defense has some fire of late. The Ravens defense has even more. The Patriots have a leader with a passion for winning. So do the Ravens. But, the Ravens’ leader has a clock that’s ticking and it’s nearly up. No one gave them a chance last week. And no one is really giving them a chance this week. Except me. After watching the Ravens go into a Denver last week and win against a future hall of fame quarterback, I believe in the Ravens. I believe in Ray Lewis. I believe in Joe Flacco. I believe in the whole Ravens team. If the game is a shootout, the Ravens have no shot. They need to force turnovers, protect the football, and the rest will take care of itself. I like the Ravens in New England, in a close one. Baltimore Ravens 23, New England Patriots 21. This article was written by Kenny Decker. You can follow him on Twitter @Inside__Sports
