Despite several roadblocks this year — some self-inflicted — free agent receiver Terrell Owens may still latch on with an organization before season’s end.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Drew Rosenhaus, Owens’ longtime agent, said there’s one team “very interested” in his client’s services.

Because the team in question is “sensitive about being publicly mentioned,” Rosenhaus refused to disclose further information.

T.O. is coming off of a 72-catch campaign with the Bengals in 2010, but offseason knee surgery severely hampered his employment prospects.

Owens, who turns 38-year-old in December, presumed he’d be ready to go early on in the season, and even held a public workout to prove as much. That didn’t work, as not a single NFL scout or personnel man showed up to witness his mostly shirtless, hour-long audition.

Along with a supposed suicide attempt and a bench warrant issued for his arrest, who could blame any organization from shying away from Owens, who’s consistently been reputed as a diva during his 15-year career.

That’s why this could just be posturing by Rosenhaus to pump up interest where there is none. Time will tell, though it’s not on Owens’ side if he wants to make an impact — a positive impact, I should say — in 2011.
