Following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy, everyone in the Tri-State area is picking up the pieces and trying to regain some normalcy in their lives. What better way to do that than at a football game? In the eyes of Ahmad Bradshaw, the Giants have the opportunity to help the area recover in the coming weeks. In an interview with the Newark Star-Ledger, Bradshaw felt that the organization can "spark New York." "Just what we do, what we've done," said Bradshaw. "I think we can also help everybody in New York and New Jersey that's going through this." Entering the game, the G-Men were winners of their last four games, and were riding high. If it weren't for the play of the Steelers on Sunday, the Giants would have extended their lead in the NFC East, and raised the hopes of millions in New York and New Jersey. "We need to get everybody through this storm, this weather and everything else; get through this month...

Coughlin wants more from Eli 'in a hurry'

Uh oh, here comes the New York Giants second half swoon right on schedule.  The tell-tale signs have been there for weeks but, come Game 9 every season, it becomes official. On Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Giants hoped to create a three hour diversion to Hurricane Sandy for Giants fans dealing with the aftermath of the storm.  Looking back, Big Blue's fans mostly...

Justin Tuck: “we’ll end this November curse”

Just when the New York Giants appear to be the class of the NFC something like Sunday happens. The Pittsburgh Steelers came into Met Life Stadium and handed the Giants a 24-20 loss. Defensive end Justin Tuck is hoping the Giants get back to their winning ways. “Let’s not (repeat) history,” Tuck said, via Newsday. “Unless it’s going to end up how it did last year. For us...

Muy Frio: Eli Manning

I’m a head scratcher Juan… Eli Manning is a great NFL QB.  Ice water in his veins that allows him to bring his team back late in games.  This has translated to fantasy stats in recent years and his preseason ranking in the top 10 was an indication of where owners thought he should be getting drafted.  In the first 5 weeks of the season, Eli scored 15 or more fantasy points...

The 5 Best NFL Draft Classes in the Past 25 Years

If you enjoy football—which we assume most of you do—yesterday marked a pretty cool day as the Steelers traveled to New York to take on the Giants. While the two team’s might not be your favorite, the quarterback matchup between Big Ben Roethlisberger and Eli Manning was something that should be celebrated. Why? Not because they put up a ton of yards or touchdowns—their stats...

Ryan Clark Flagged for Unnecessary Roughness on Questionable Victor Cruz Hit (Animation)

There's no replacement refs to blame for the poor officiating in the Steelers-Giants game. Ryan Clark was flagged for unnecessary roughness on a big hit that seemed clean according to NFL rules. Eli Manning threw an ill-advised pass directly at a Steelers' defender, which was followed up by Clark lighting up Giants receiver Victor Cruz. Clark didn't...

Steelers 24, Giants 20

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- In a game billed as the battle of two first-round quarterbacks from the Class of 2004, the Steelers' Ben Roethlisberger outlasted the Giants' Eli Manning by copying Manning's fourth-quarter comeback act to steer Pittsburgh to a 24-20 win over New York at MetLife Stadium. The Giants (6-3) saw their four-game winning streak end, and Manning'...

Jacquian Williams, Chase Blackburn out on Sunday for New York Giants

The New York Giants will be relatively healthy this Sunday as they prepare to take the field against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although the Steelers have yet to release their final injury report, the Giants look to be in good shape this weekend, save for a few injuries to the linebacker core. Without further delay, here is Big Blue's final injury report of the week. OUT ...
