A much different story is coming out New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard's camp, claiming that he did not faily any police field sobriety tests on the night he was arrested. He's also claiming he wasn't asked to take a blood test. The police say he refused the test.
Dennard attempted to blow into a Breathalyzer at least twice, according to a source, via NFL.com's Ian Rapoport. Those tests are said to have been below the legal limit, but the story is he didn't blow hard enough to register anything from the device.
The Lincoln, Nebraska police remain adamant that field sobriety tests were done and it was deemed that Dennard was driving under the influence, and that he would not provide an adequate breath sample, suggesting that perhaps he intentionally didn't blow hard enough into the device. The outcome of the tests were not released. The police report cites him for refusal of a chemical test and straddling lane lines.
