Eagles Central:
Yesterday’s 21-16 loss to the Green Bay Packers was an ugly one for the Philadelphia Eagles.
It just got a little big uglier.
According to Garry Cobb, a former Eagles linebacker who runs his own site (gcobb.com), the Eagles’ long snapper Jon Dorenbos had to be restrained from going into the crowd after the game to put a beating on some fans who were heckling kicker David Akers.
Akers, as you might have heard, missed two field goals that ultimately played a large role in the Eagles’ loss.
Akers’ Twitter account was flooded by angry messages from passionate Eagles fans.
And after the game, Akers basically implied that his career with the Philadelphia Eagles is over.
