The free agent signings of Jamaal Anderson and Tyler Brayton were somewhat of a surprise.  It paid off in spades: Brayton has 25 tackles, Anderson 21. The only defensive lineman with more is Mathis with 43. Brayton and Anderson have two sacks each. The only teammates with more are Mathis with 81/2 and Pro Bowl endDwight Freeney with 71/2. "That's how important it is to have depth," Freeney said. "They don't say a word. (Tackle) is not their natural position, but they stepped in a lot of key games and helped out." Anderson hopes for more of the same next season. "I enjoyed it definitely being able to learn from guys like Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeney and what they've done for the past decade," he said. "I came into the end of it, but we look to rebuild to that next year and get right back on track with what they've been doing."
