Found November 09, 2012 on NFL Draft Zone:
Last night, Andrew Luck did his best RG3 impression running for two touchdowns in a win over the Jaguars. Luck also completed 18-of-26 passes for 227 yards and an interception while rushing for two touchdowns in the Colts’ Week 10, 27-10 win over the Jaguars on Thursday night. It wasn’t Luck’s best passing effort of the season, but he got the job done and has the Colts at 6-3 and in position for a playoff spot. He and Reggie Wayne were clicking early on right out of the gate. He targeted Reggie Wayne on 12 passes of his 26 last night.  Playing behind a makeshift offensive line that was without starters RT Winston Justice and C Samson Satele, Luck held in the pocket and made some tough throws. His two rushing scores came via five yards and one yard in the second quarter. The Colts go to New England in Week 11 and still have the Texans on the schedule twice, but Luck will have to learn one thing if he wants to succeed. Last night on the first few drives, he made some horrible reads. He threw the ball to Reggie Wayne almost every play on the first 3 possessions.  I don’t know how the Jaguars didn’t see this. He came out of the snap looking at #87 the entire time.  While he was starring at Wayne he had Dwayne Allen wide open on a corner route that would have been a huge gain.  Both safeties and the linebacker bit.  Luck will need to learn how to get the ball to others or else the Patriots will mutilate the Colts next week.

Indianapolis Colts mid-season review

Not much was expected from the Indianapolis Colts in 2012. They released future Hall of Fame (and leading MVP candidate) Peyton Manning following a spate of neck injuries and surgeries. Along with him were released several key veterans and fan favorites: MLB Gary Brackett, TE Dallas Clark, RB Joseph Addai, and WR Anthony Gonzalez, among others. The coaching staff and front office...

The Indianapolis Colts have shaved their heads in a show of support for coach Chuck Pagano. Pagano is undergoing treatment for leukemia and attended a Colts game for the first time since being diagnosed with the disease. Luck became the latest member of the no-hair club Wednesday morning. No comment was released by the team because they were heading to Jacksonville. The Colts have...

Indianapolis Colts: Week 10 NFL Power Rankings (#9)

Last week: 9 (+2) Record: 5-3 If the playoffs were to start today, Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts would travel to the Denver Broncos to play Peyton Manning, who through 8 games, has exactly the same amount of passing yards as his replacement Luck, 2404. The Colts are 4-1 in their last 5, since Chuck Pagano had to leave the team to undergo treatment for Leukemia, with that...

Colts Are Legitimate Playoff Contenders as NFL’s Cinderella Story

The Indianapolis Colts have been at the epicenter of NFL headlines all season long. First, everyone wanted to know how the team would fare in the Andrew Luck era after seeing the success that Peyton Manning brought. Then, first-year head coach Chuck Pagano was diagnosed with leukemia and after responding with a win against the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 7, the team became the NFL’s...

Jaguars 3, Colts 17; halftime thoughts

At halftime, the Jaguars trail the Colts 3 to 17, and the big difference in the game hasn't been in respect to the two teams' quarterbacks. Blaine Gabbert has played well to this point, as has Andrew Luck. Both quarterbacks have similar numbers, but Andrew Luck has been helped more by the rest of his team than Gabbert has. It's at this point that I'd like...

Indianapolis Colts: Is a Playoff Run Possible?

It’s something that most of us never imagined saying just two months ago, but if the NFL playoffs started today, the Andrew Luck led Indianapolis Colts would be in it. With their fifth win in six games, and their fourth straight overall, the Colts all of a sudden find themselves in familiar territory  in the playoff hunt. In fact, if the Houston Texans drop their Sunday Night...

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) -- Inspiration one week, domination the next. The Indianapolis Colts became the latest team to hammer the Jacksonville Jaguars at home, winning 27-10 on Thursday night behind two rushing touchdowns from rookie quarterback Andrew Luck. Colts, Jaguars in different phases of rebuild

It wasn't that long ago that Indianapolis and Jacksonville played for the division title. Less than two years, in fact. Both teams have changed coaches, quarterbacks and other personnel since. It's pretty clear which one is further along in the rebuilding project. The Colts (5-3) have won three straight heading into Thursday night's game at Jacksonville, pulling out...

Fantasy Football Week 10 Preview: Colts at Jaguars

Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville JaguarsIndianapolis:  The Colts come off a big win last week at home against the Miami Dolphins as Andrew Luck outdueled fellow rookie Ryan Tannehill in a battle of two teams and QBs that have exceeded expectations in 2012.  The Colts sit at 5-3 and are now looking at avenging their early season loss to the division rival Jaguars, which they are...

How bad is Curtis Painter?!

Even the greatest quarterbacks can’t overcome bad teams, especially not in their rookie year. It’s something that I have always believed and will continue to believe until forever. Look at Peyton Manning, one of the most prolific passers of our time, and a number one overall draft pick. He came into a team that was legitimately terrible in 1998, and the Colts were capable of...

The Few Not Bad Moments From Colts-Jaguars

At the outset of the Thursday night live blog, commenter War Machine said, “Every off-season, I promise myself that I’ll watch football when I can, given that the time between seasons feels like an almost insurmountable expanse. This is one of the games that tests the tenacity of that vow.” Well put. Though if we’re already channeling that sense of dedication, it worries...
