King Dunlap is expected to return to practice on Wednesday, again complicating the Eagles’ left tackle situation. Demetress Bell has filled in for Dunlap the last two weeks to uneven results while Dunlap recovered from a hamstring injury. Dunlap beat Bell for the job out of training camp.

Eagles coach Andy Reid was non-committal on Monday when asked if Dunlap will be the starter upon his return.

“He’s getting better, so we’ll just see how he is,” Reid said. “I want to see him out there; see what he can do first.”

Philadelphia Eagles Off to a 3-1 Start, But How Confident Are You?

The Three Stooges or the Three Wise Men? For the 5th time in the Andy Reid era, the Philadelphia Eagles are off to a 3-1 start after the first quarter of the season.  Usually, a 3-1 start is cause for excitement and confidence as we head into the meat of the schedule. However, this is perhaps the diciest-feeling 3-1 I’ve ever felt in all my years of following the Eagles. For the...

Michael Vick says he “tweaked” his knee; hopes to play next week

Michael Vick is always tweaking something, but somehow, someway the Eagles are 3-1 and leading the NFC East. Most people worry about Vick getting injured taking a BIG HIT, but this time it was a non contact injury that will have him in the trainer’s room according to Pro Football Talk. “Something happened with my knee on the last drive,” Vick told reporters after the game...

Eagles OT King Dunlap, LB Akeem Jordan Among Week 4's Inactives

The Eagles have ruled out King Dunlap, which leaves Demetress Bell as the starting left tackle opposite Todd Herremans. Weak side linebacker Akeem Jordan will not play on Sunday night. Third-year linebacker Jamar Chaney will start in place of Jordan. Here is Philadelphia's complete list of inactives: RB Dion Lewis, WR Riley Cooper, OT Nate Menkin, OT King Dunlap, DE Vinny Curry...

Week 4 NFL Recap: New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles

Andy Reid must not be a fan of TSHQ. Or exercise. Or diet soda. Or salad. Or the I-formation. But that’s all beside the point. The main point is this giagantic human being flat out doesn’t listen to me and it’s infuriating. Weeks ago I wrote off icing the kicker. Granted, this is nothing new. Far from an original idea. But I said it nonetheless. And what does Andy do? Takes...

Eagles Topple the Giants, 19-17! Hallelujah!

Andy Reid is a very lucky man in Philadelphia after the Eagles beat the New York Giants with another 4th quarter comeback and risky timeout to freeze Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes.  The gamble paid off. And now the Eagles have three wins by a  total of 4 points and sit atop the NFC East division. Tynes was short on a 54-yard field goal attempt (twice) with 15 seconds left as the...

Michael Vick Not a Big Fan of Icing Kickers, Thinks It's Time to 'End That Tradition'

Go ahead and exhale, Andy Reid. You didn't cost the Eagles the game after all. Reid nearly became a big time goat on Sunday night after he called a timeout just before Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes attempted a 54-yard field goal in the closing seconds. Generally, icing the kicker like that wouldn't be that big of a deal, but Tynes missed the lengthy first attempt, meaning...

Eagles win 19-17 with perfect balance and no turnovers

The Eagles win over the Giants 19-17 last night featured the RUN! LeSean McCoy ran the ball effectively in the second half which ultimately is why we all are happy this Monday morning. Along with the effective running, the Eagles had ZERO turnovers by Vick who was knocked around by the Giants all night. Calling more runs (36) than pass plays (30), Andy and Marty walk away with game...

Will the Philadelphia Eagles Continue Their Balanced Attack

A balanced offensive game plan. Those are words that are rarely used when discussing the Philadelphia Eagles and head coach Andy Reid. The Eagles coaching staff is a pass-happy bunch who has filled the offensive skill positions with players to enable them to be so “pass-happy”. Players like receivers DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and Jason Avant, tight ends Brent Celek and Clay...

Winning by slim margins, Eagles don't make it easy

These Philadelphia Eagles are the NFL's latest version of the Cardiac Kids. Michael Vick led the Eagles (3-1) to their third comeback win Sunday night, a 19-17 victory over the New York Giants that wasn't sealed until Lawrence Tynes missed a 54-yard field goal try in the waning seconds. That made Philadelphia the first team in league history to have its first three wins...

Michael Vick has a knee contusion

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid confirmed that quarterback Michael Vick suffered a knee contusion during Sunday night’s win over the Giants.  He says Vick will be fine. I’m sure Vick will play in this week’s game against the Steelers. But we’ll certainly be monitoring his status throughout the week.

Eagles RB LeSean McCoy Says Knee Swelling Will Be Fine

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy injured his knee in Sunday night's victory over the New York Giants, but head coach Andy Reid said that it is nothing more than a little tweak, according to NFL reporter Adam Caplan. Reid acknowledged that McCoy's knee is swelling up, but then reiterated that he is fine. McCoy rushed for 123 yards on 23 carries Sunday night and added 17...
