According to ESPN’s Shelley Smith via The Big Lead, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was able to sell some of his 5-XL shorts, Crocs and a bird house at the garage sale he organized in Philadelphia. I’m sure the person who got the 5-XL shorts is happy.  I know I’ve never seen that size in a regular store.  They could also sell the shorts since they’re the one’s that Reid himself sweat in during the summer months. Andy Reid Trolls Eagles & Chip Kelly By Playing Music During Practice

The Chip Kelly era has begun in Philadelphia, and a lot has changed since Andy Reid left the city.  Kelly has gotten rid of fast food and tacos. He’s moved the lockerroom around, and sped up the pace of his practices.  The one huge thing that the media here in Philadelphia has been focused on though, is Kelly blasting music during his practices. Kelly made news earlier this week...

Brandon Graham, Trent Cole may have a hard time with Chip Kelly’s 3-4 defense

Trent Cole and has been one of the NFL’s best pass rushers over the course of his career and now he’ll be an outside linebacker in the Eagles new 3-4 defense under new head coach Chip Kelly. Cole will now have to learn how to drop back into pass coverage and read opposing offenses a lot more.  I can’t see this change as a good thing. The same goes for Brandon Graham, who...

Eagles may use DeSean Jackson as a running back

It sounds like Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly is ready to pull out all stops with his offense.  Running back LeSean McCoy told the Delaware County Times that wide receiver DeSean Jackson may also line up in the back field at times. “There might be plays where DeSean is in the backfield, you never know,” running back LeSean McCoy said. “I mean every time we come...

Eagles’ Evan Mathis Shows Hatred of IRS, Urinates on Sign Outside Building (Photo)

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out where Philadelphia Eagles guard Evan Mathis lies on the political spectrum. If you’re behind on the news, in recent days the IRS has come under intense scrutiny illegally targeting specific groups. According to reports, the IRS systematically singled out conservative groups — specifically ones with Tea Party-sounding names — for extra...

Dwayne Bowe predicts he'll lead NFL in catches and TDs; is that realistic?

The last time the Kansas City Chiefs got competent and consistent play from the quarterback position, in 2010, Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe led the league with 15 touchdown catches. So with Alex Smith coming to KC to bring some much-needed competency to the quarterback position, it wouldn't be far-fetched to imagine Bowe returning to the top of touchdown mountain in 2013...

Chiefs defense wins day during offseason workouts

The Kansas City Chiefs defense has lived by the bend-but-don't-break mantra the past few years under Romeo Crennel. Well, that's out the window now. New defensive coordinator Bob Sutton would prefer to attack from the word, ''Hike,'' and during the first week of organized team activities, his players have taken quite the shine to it. The Chiefs only intercepted...

Michael Vick says his critics are ignorant and don’t know football

During an interview with Mike Missanelli of 97.5 The Fanatic in Philly, Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was asked to address his critics and oh boy did he. “I’m really tempted right now to just say no comment to that because like I said a second ago, you don’t last 12 years in the NFL not being able to read the defense,” Vick said, via PhillyMag.com. “Those people who...

Alex Smith already becoming leader of Chiefs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) It hasn't taken long for Alex Smith to become the leader of the Kansas City Chiefs. The weight of the franchise was foisted upon his shoulders from the very second word leaked out that former No. 1 draft pick would be sent from the San Francisco 49ers to the Chiefs during a topsy-turvy offseason. If he wasn't considered the leader in the huddle then...

Chiefs announce moves within scouting department

The Kansas City Chiefs shook up their scouting department Thursday by hiring Will Lewis as director of pro scouting and Marvin Allen as the director of college scouting. Lewis spent 13 years with the Seahawks, most recently as vice president of football operations. Allen spent the past four years as a national scout with the Falcons. The Chiefs also hired Randy Ball to be their...

Michael Vick On His Critics: They’re Ignorant, Don’t Know Football

Michael Vick has had enough of his critics questioning his ability to play quarterback and read defenses, so he’s firing back. Vick was on 97.5 The Fanatic earlier this week, and was asked by Mike Missanelli, and was asked to address critics who have who say that he doesn’t make quick enough reads and holds on to the football too long. “I’m really tempted right now to...

There are discrepancies in Eric Berry's story of his fear of horses

One of the better moments captured by NFL Films this last fall was Chiefs safety Eric Berry's skittish reaction to seeing a horse on the field. As you can see below, Berry's full attention is on the horse (named Warpaint) and not the game itself.   It didn't take long for this footage to go semi viral. Since it aired, I've always been somewhat curious as...
