Philly Sports Muse:
No shortage of stories to discuss concerning the Philadelphia Eagles, a good sign that football is right around the corner.
Several wide receivers are all over the news, but none for positive reasons. Jeremy Maclin out for the season with a torn ACL. Riley Cooper’s videotaped racial slur and ensuing statements, fines and other actions to supposedly remedy the public relations nightmare caused by the fallout. And now, because fate is cruel, another injury to a Birds wide receiver–Arrelious Benn is out for the season, like Maclin with a torn ACL. Though he came to the team with a known injury history, this is just not how you want things in camp to go down. Repeatedly.
What’s that, you say? It’s also the week of Philadelphia’s first preseason game with the Patriots, the team leading the league in drama this offseason?
Here are your morning headlines.

We are five Sundays away from the start of the NFL season. At this point in the season, I’m working on my 2013 fantasy football rankings, pinning down the right online sportsbook to use throughout the year like Bovada sportsbook, and following by beloved Eagles.

While it’s the first post in some time, I’ve saved some of the more unique notes for this article based on training camp thus far.
