Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer practiced for the first time in a long time on Wednesday after undergoing knee surgery this summer.
Dallas owner Jerry Jones announced on his radio show that Spencer and newly acquired offensive lineman Brian Waters could play this week against the Chiefs.
“We don’t want to bring Spencer along any faster than we have to,” Jones said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, “but he sure had a good last two or three days before we stopped Sunday.”
The only reason Waters didn’t play last week was because they wanted to make sure he was in better shape before he started playing in any games.
“Waters was actually amazing that he was able to move,” Jones said. “He had a lot of the football things that you have to do, apart from just his endurance. So I think there’s a chance he could play some too.”

Even though Cowboys defensive end Anthony Spencer didn’t practice on Thursday he still expects to play this week against the Chiefs.

Spencer was asked if he’ll be playing on Sunday, “I’m getting ready to play.”

According to the Dallas Morning News, Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne is expected to play in this week’s game against the Chiefs with a shoulder harness after dislocating his shoulder against the Giants this past Sunday night. IRVING, Texas -- Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo practiced in pads for the first time Wednesday since bruising his ribs Sunday and said pronounced himself fit enough to play this weekend.
"I felt fine, just normal soreness and stuff going through," Romo said. "I assume by the weekend they'll be fine, good to go."
Romo was sandwiched between two pass rushers...
Dez Bryant showed signs of becoming a superstar in the second half of the 2012 season. And that's why he received the bulk of the Giants' attention during the Cowboys' 36-31 win Sunday.
Bryant only caught four passes for 22 yards, but his presence paved the way for big games from Jason Witten and Miles Austin. In fact, Witten became Romo's primary option in the red...
IRVING, Texas Dez Bryant is living in a new world, according to Cowboys coach Jason Garrett. That world is one in which he is constantly double-teamed by opponents.
Bryant's first entry into his new world was Sunday night when the New York Giants took him out of the action, for the most part, by constantly having a safety cover him in addition to a cornerback.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant practiced today, but defensive end Anthony Spencer did not, according to Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas. Bryant is dealing with a mildly sprained foot, while Spencer continues to recover from the knee surgery he underwent at the end of July.Bryant was a full participant during yesterday's practice session, but head coach Jason Garrett admitted...
This is so sad.
Giants LB Dan Connor was one of the two players accused of faking an injury after he went down on two consecutive plays on Sunday night versus the Cowboys.
Jerry Jones and Tony Romo even went so far as to call the players out afterwards for their actions saying:
“I thought us experts on football were the only ones who could see that,” Cowboys owner and general...
It would seem that an opening-game win for an NFL team would be significant.
For the Dallas Cowboys, a fan could point to a huge 45-35 win over the New York Giants in 2007 as a catalyst for a 13-3 season.
A win during Kickoff Weekend is usually good for the Cowboys.
Conversely, a fan could look at the team’s disappointing loss to the Redskins to open the 2010 season as a major...

The Cowboys accused players of faking injuries to slow down their no huddle, but it turns out one of the players was not faking it at all. Dan Connor went down and it turns out he was diagnosed with a season ending neck injury.
Tony Romo and Jerry Jones thought it was pretty funny after the game with the comments below. I’m sure they wish they could take back now. See...

It’s not often you see a team force 6 turnovers in a single game.
It’s even less often that a team forcing 6 turnovers wins by less than a touchdown.
That’s exactly what happened to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
The Cowboys forced and recovered three fumbles, and intercepted Eli Manning three times, yet only won 36-31 when it...
